Install Magisk, then wipe the Google Play Store and Play Services app data.
How to update to newer version? Just dirty rom flash? ( what about gaaps and magisk?)

First native rom for nitrogen, i'm so excited! ? Can anyone confirm device encryption to be working?
Yes, you can dirty flash.
1) Flash 5/27 ROM
2) Flash your gapps again (this is necessary to keep GPS functionality in tact)
3) Flash magisk 19.2
4) Wipe cache and dalvik cache
5) Reboot
Previous build worked with encrypted data (after miui 9.5.23). New build - not tested yet. To decrypt data, I used china twrp (may 18).

This recovery worked for latest stock 9.5.23 Beta. I had to extract and fastboot recovery in order to get to TWRP and then decrypt data via changing to EXT4 before going to AOSiP.. None of the other recoveries worked on XDA thread (Nigels, Orange) except for this one.

Finally Substratum dark theme days are back again. Thank you @MrColdbird for this splendid Rom. I am coming from Beta 9.5.23 Stock Rom.
Everything seems to work, FP is super snappy by the way, WiFi didn't worked at first.
After initially getting TWRP for the first time, I change data to EXT4/for decryption and flash AOSiP, etc...and double checked to flash TWRP.
Second time after going back to TWRP, I wiped Data, System, Caches, Internal, and followed the procedure to boot AOSiP
There's no significant focus adjustment on GCam. Only changes exposure and color vibrance when pressing the onscreen focus, i guess its a given that there's no Manuel mode*** Shutting off HDR renders the camera button useless until turned back on. Camera works though. Selfie Camera works but the button to take the photo does not work. No Manual mode either, haha.
Kernel CPU process doesn't stick when switching through Alucard and Conservative Governor for example.
I do not know much about the CPU hotplug @MrColdbird, but what needs to be implemented is similar to what Floppy Kernel's CPU Hotplug by having Alucard Cpu Hotplug; Full Cores online, Four Cores Offline when screen is off. I say this because i have Mi Mix and that Kernel using CPU Hotplug really helps with battery. I'm sure it will be implemented soon i hope.
Oh and Viper4android legacy works very very well, i used to have problems using with the Mi Mix where the module tends to disable itself sometimes. Good job on that one.

Update went wrong, got bootloop.

I also caught a bootloop. I had to re-set everything clean.

Amazing ROM. Really. Such a good job all around. Kindest regards to MrColdbird.
So far, everything I tried worked perfectly - except the camera. No matter which app I choose - the camera refuses to focus.
I also noticed another user in the thread has the same issue
Can anyone else testify whether it works for them or not?
I tried everything - using different camera apps, tweaking the focus manually, even switching to the telephoto lens... Focusing is a no-go.
Another bug that I noticed - when trying to activate the 'OK Google' voice match, it forever stays inactivated. Every time it takes you through the voice model process, and then leaves you in the same stage as before.
It does seem to recognize me by my voice - but I can't toggle the option to open my device using my voice (since the option appears to be inactivated).
Regardless of the bugs - posting this for the sake of sharing - I managed to get great-looking front-facing HDR+ GCam!
It was posted earlier in the thread (https://f.celsoazevedo.com/file/cfiles/gcm1/trCamera_beta_7.apk) and all it needs in order to work properly is to have the 'Front camera model' to a Nexus 6P. The results are gorgeous. I tried the GCam recommended by the OP, but seems like it simply crashes for front HDR+.
I hope those bugs will be fixed soon, or at least the focus one, as it's pretty important
Would be glad to help in any way I can, and wouldn't mind supplying catlogs if needed.

Do you mean I have to install MIUI first, encrypt data within, then install AOSIP? Because I just installed AOSIP doing a full wipe before, and it will not encrypt.
