Thank you so much for all your help and advice..
Just to be clear, you are running this latest build right?
"AOSiP-9.0-Pizza-nitrogen-20200125.zip" ??
Also, which gapps are you flashing?
Nano is fine I think or this will make no difference..?
So....
I boot to recovery... TWRP - (latest official)
Wipe Cache, Data and System.
Then flash each of these in this order without rebooting between zips.
firmware_9.12.26.zip
then..
AOSiP-9.0-Pizza-nitrogen-20200125.zip
then..
open_gapps-arm64-9.0-nano-20200418.zip
......
Reboot and let the phone boot up..
Do you root by flashing Magisk?
- yes, same build
- use orange fox recovery instead of latest official
- either factory reset or format data depending on whether you can backup key ingredients to a computer or external drive
- DON'T wipe system, long topic, just don't
- firmware has to be flashed only once until you need a newer version, hence if you did before, you don't have to again
- nano is great, using nano myself as well
- start without root and without restoring ANYTHING to be on the safe side, only like this you make sure that the effort is not in vain ( exclude possible culprits )
- once you're done or once you come to root apps or apps that have root features you can flash magisk at any time to root
- keep the device unlocked, no PIN no PATTERN, set to none in security
- don't apply any themes, keep it stock/default until you're done with your apps and settings
- check for issues frequently so that you can remember the steps since last working state
this way you will:
- either find out whether everything naked default works or has the flaws you encountered before
- or find out when the issues start and seek the culprit by eliminatiing anything done since last working state and repeat
. any setup and/or installation out of that group until the issues start again, that time with only one or two steps from last working state.
after that you can decide how important the culprit is for you and risk to terminate setup in one go. chance is tiny that a second culprit will cause the same issue. this is per issue, if you have several issues you have to keep an eye on all of them.
good luck
