LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android , which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.

Installation

CLEAN FLASH :
Download the latest build and GApps
Reboot to recovery
Take Backup (Not Necessary)
Wipe System, Data, Cache , Dalvik
Flash the latest build
Reboot

DIRTY FLASH :
Download the latest build
Reboot to recovery
Wipe Cache
Reboot

Update through updater
Open the LineageOS updater
Search for updates
Download and click install
Now your device will reboot and flash automatically

It is working on some pie ROMs. For example on havoc 2.9 it is working fine. And also it is working all miui ROMs. Maybe for Android 10 ROMs you need Android 10 firmware. But I think it will be released tomorrow by Xiaomi eu team. Thanks.

thanks a lot..been waiting for this for so long.
rom is very smooth,bitgapps works fine, magisk works, viper works
though its a first build, still a few notes-
- battery percentage and styles doesnt work
- network indicator in the middle cut by notch
- expanded desktop option is not accessible.

I'm facing an error message on every reboot.

Also trebuchet stopped working message after changing the language and using full screen gestures.

Camera does not work (did not even try GCam as the rest of the ROM is so immature you have to roll back anyways)
GApps installation a nightmare
Whatsapp does not link with Google Account

Your source code link only does somehow not link your work on the rom. Can you add the device specific sources ( I guess it is https://github.com/daniml3/android_vendor_xiaomi_lavender, https://github.com/daniml3/android_vendor_xiaomi_lavender) ?
Looking at the fork history am I thus right to assume that this ROM builds on and tracks the recent developments on PE ROM?

That's not happening to anyone, make sure it was a clean installation, and you met the firmware requeriments.

The base of the trees are taken from PE yes

OTA update from 1/2 version to 1/3 version caused boot loop. The phone kept going to recovery. Clearing caches did not help.
I do have magisk installed. Maybe that's the issue? Clean install of 1/3 version worked fine.

Official is not happening I guess.

No one wanted to maintain an official los before.

That's because of the GApps.
You need to reinstall them after updating.

Thanks! will try with the next update. That also means that I cannot try to install from the OTA update feature because the phone boots up right after flashing the ROM update.

LineageOS is working on a fix so addon.d will work and there wont be the needed to reinstall GApps. A workaround for using OTA is disabling auto-reboot after OTA in recovery, or just when the phone auto reboots, press volume up button to boot again into recovery.

Does this ROM need Gapps to work or can it work with microg? I tried installing LOS 16 without Gapps and I was never able to get it to boot without Gapps.
