Anyone else gettin error7 in recovery ? have pbr3.0 installed both 10.4 and 10.5 before flashing but still the same error
assert failed: update_dynamic_partitions(package_extract_file("dynamic_partitions_op_list"))

Can anyone who's successfully installed this rom tell us specifically which recovery they used, which versions firmware and gapps?

For rooting, there are numerous guides on extracting boot.img, copying to phone, patching with magisk and copying back to computer to flash with fastbootD. Searching and you'll find that easily.

1. Extract boot.img (about 128MB) from the ROM zip you downloaded and transfer it to the phone. Click "install" in Magisk Manager and point it to boot.img. This should result in a patched magisk_patched.img (about 15MB ), transfer this file to your computer. Ideally to folder where fastboot.exe is located.

2. Reboot your phone to fastboot recovery mode. Open a command prompt in the folder of the Mi Unlock tool and run:

fastboot flash boot magisk_patched.img

3. Reboot the phone and that's it! Verify root status in the Magisk Manager app

With PBRP, are you able to boot into fastbootd? If so, that would be awesome to know how to do.

I was able to install RR 8.5.8 with the TWRP from Evolution X thread and another benefit to using that TWRP is that when connected to my PC and in the recovery, I'm able to access the internal and external SD from within windows.

got it to work by installing miui.eu fastboot and after that installing the rom. Big thanks ! rom is looking great !!!

I had the same issue, before I've changed to TWRP-3.4.1B by new_969

When I install all 3 of these through magisk, the anx camera app keeps quitting on me. Then I tried disabling some of the modules which force me into a boot loop.
