As far as I know, you don't need any Gapps, neither did I because they are already in V3. Something went wrong on your end, or you had a bad download, hence I would advice you to repeat the process. Do the follwing:

1. Download V3 of this Rom and place it on your computer.

I think good, Make a nandroid Backup, flash and be Happy
But battery life is very special, apps, wlan, data, playing ... so nobody can answer for you.

android 5.1.1 is the solution, sadly. long time coming for that.

Same problem. Turned pen detection on in S-Pen settings. Solved it.

You mean you checked the box to deactivate SPen detection? Because mine was unchecked and I faced this problem. Checked it now and will try if it occurs again.

Correct. The problem still occurs, but once inserting and removing the pen it is recognized again. I think with this option the sensor or the driver is disabled and then enabled again. That way the failure is corrected...

I suggest to try Pyrana SM-P605 XXUABOG1 ....with new Base XXUABOG1 ...much much better rom..???????;;;;
