Thanks guys! I'll pop her open after work and have a look. I hope that's all it is!
well i opened it up and nothing was obviously loose or anything. I tried to see if pressing on the battery or lifting the motherboard did anything but Ive never had flicker issues except when it was about to die. I think i might have fried something. I was looking at the wire i grabbed when it was dying and its a little rough looking. IDK........

gonna try a new usb receptacle because it really seems like it wont take any power at all.

any other thoughts?

@ home
Could be a deep unloaded accu.
Try a big USB charger (2A/h)
Let it in for 10min and check, if the charging symbol comes up.

I apologize in advanced for not having searched the thread for this specific issue.

ever since updating to the latest version I've been running into an inconsistent Bluetooth bug. for a while I've been trying to figure out how to reproduce it but no luck.

it's uncommon, but upon using the bluetooth toggle from the pulldown, the toggle won't indicate that it has been turned on -- but it does get turned on and without the pop up (which I have not disabled via xposed), though when the toggle is functioning properly, the pop up does show

after experiencing this, sometimes Bluetooth will refuse to turn off without a reboot and others it'll turn off but the toggle won't reflect status properly again until reboot.

I know I didn't have this issue on 1.0 or 1.1 and did a clean install of each version starting @ 1.1

using latest CiV kernel

not flashes for me but my note will spontaneously turn black. It seems to completely turn off, l have to manually boot it up again.
I did 3 fresh installs with the supplied kernels and one with the latest Civz kernel.
l did not mess with any settings other than deselecting a few apps during the installation.

At the moment i cannot reproduce the behavior, but I will fiddle with the tablet all weekend to see if i can be more specific.

I was getting the system ui crashes with stock kernel too.

I tried all 3 Kernals and it does it on all of them...the bottom one.I cant remember but that one because the Stock is on the top..but the bottom one I had it happen once in 16 hours of activity straight! Maybe the next update will fix??? I also get a few random black screen flashes. I bought mine refurbed a week ago so I thought it was the tablet and was going to send back but after reflashing a few times it got better...Good Luck

SystemUI crashed for me as well, but only during initial setup. Other than that, everything is going great. I'm even using Touchwiz for the first time, ever...Usually I jump straight to Nova.

My only problem is the weird touchiness in Aroma. Also would like more options during install for apps to delete. KidsMode, etc.
I would love it if TouchWiz would remember our app settings and we could backup like on NOVA. Just give us a few more options. It is a Launcher. All the other Launchers out there stay up on this stuff.

Indexingservice

Hi, I've been running this ROM for 2 months now. It works very well. Completely stable with no issues that are ROM related. At least as far as I know. However:

Can someone tell me why indexing service uses so much battery? On fresh install of this ROM my indexservice uses 33% of the battery. I presume that is a normal percentage for indexing service. I did a fresh install again of this ROM because my battery was being run down by this indexingservice which prior to fresh install was using 60% of battery. I was unable to stop this service because the button stayed gray. Obviously with a fresh install and clean wipe there are less files to index so therefore less battery use. Anyway, this probably has nothing to do with the ROM but is this indexservice needed and are there any ways to optimize this energy hungry service?

Many times indexing service issues stem from large number of files or complex documents that need to be scanned so the first question to ask you is so you either have a microsd card installed or a lot of media files on the internal SD card?

Ye's, I have about 15gb of medical books on my external sd card that I need at my immediate disposal. WHEN I remove the card and do a hard reboot index still runs at about 45%

I guess I'll be moving this to another thread. Any final suggestions on getting index to chill out?

You can freeze indexing service and not worry about it again. However SFinder won't work properly if you do. I froze it on my note 4 with no noticeable conflict.
