Off to a good start

Thank you so much for your efforts in bringing CM12 to this righteous yet underserved tablet! After a few headaches with getting TWRP 2.7.0 to wipe the various partitions, I got version 4 loaded up. wow, it's really good! I too see minor graphical glitches in the app listings, but otherwise it's ridiculously stable and very smooth. I haven't come across any problems whatsoever, and I really use this tablet pretty heavily, so again thank you, this is stellar work.

Just installed the latest (20141217). Thank you so much guys. Everyone who is involved. I was about to sell it. I just could not stand the lag. I hope you make it even better by adding more lag-free stuff. Again. THANK YOU!

I am a newbie, can someone please help? I need a more detailed instructions how to do 2, 3, 4 below. Can someone please point me to them if they're available? Thanks.

Instructions
1. Download the zip(s) - firmware and Google Apps additional package (optional)
I have downloaded two files:
gapps-lp-20141122-signed.zip
cm-12-20141217-UNOFFICIAL-v1awifi.zip

2. Download and install a compatible recovery
3. Full wipe all
4. Flash firmware and gapps

2. Search for installing twrp recovery to note 12.2
3. You will boot to recovery and wipe the device. Obviously you have to install it first...
4. From the recovery again you will flash first cm12 package and then the the gapps.

Yes but when i open there is no s simple zip file as in other times..how i will flash it??
So as not to clutter the thread...

First - you'll need a custom recovery (this will set Knox to 0x1).
My recommendation is TWRP, which can be found here: "http://teamw.in/project/twrp2> searching for "v1awifi"
Use ODIN <http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/themes-apps/27-08-2013-odin-3-09-odin-1-85-versions-t2189539> to install the custom recovery.

Second, copy the ZIP file to your device, either by saving to a MicroSD, or via USB cable.

Save all of your data or be prepared to rebuild any accounts, bookmarks, wallets, etc. from scratch, since a new ROM will wipe it all.

Reboot into recovery mode and install the ROM as documented here: <http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2706982>

Some possible bugs

Holy Cow! I have been thinking about selling my Note Pro and maybe getting a Surface Pro 3. I installed CM11, which was great, but not as wonderful CM12, which is phenonmenal! Thank you so much to everyone for the great work
I hope I can contribute some possible bugs:

1.) Recent Apps View - some small random artifacts on random app in list (see attached)
2.) Can't hide onscreen keyboard (not sure if bug, but coming from CM11 to CM12 build 6, I have unable to disable the onscreen keyboard when typing with bluetooth  )
3.) Default Home Screen Button - works but no color indication when set

Also does anyone know if there is a way to add a volume slider or volume button in the notifications panel?

solution for issues with 5GHz wifi connection

TweakerL in the T900 forum informed me that apparently the base for CM12 is set for UK standards, but a simple tweak by editing 3 files in
/system/etc/wifi/nvram_net*
change
ccode=GB
to
ccode=ALL
this will open up all channels.

So my findings after one day... The rom is not stable unfortunately. Perfomance drops if you have many apps open. It hangs for 10-15 seconds and you have to wait to get a small window of responsiveness to close some apps. There is battery drain and gets warm when that happens. Maybe an app got stuck? Wifi has an exclamation mark after sleeping and you have to reboot to connect normally or choose different wifi spot. Some audio and video problems on youtube app but that might have happened because of the many open apps. It looks beautiful and i hope you guys improve more to become smooth like it should be. Thanks again for your efforts.

I haven't had any performance issues as of yet (though I have only really been testing for a few hours now)
I did however run into the wifi exclamation issue you mentioned. I've been sitting at Starbucks all day and have noticed it dropped signal a total of 2 times. All I had to do was turn the Wifi off and on again and it automatically connected, though this shouldn't be the case. I'll continue to do some extensive testing and report back.

BTW, does anyone know why the mouse cursor was removed? Does it effect performance?

Can this be ported to sm 9010 the 3g version of note pro..... ????
Maybe, but later. If you dont need 3g, you can install this version but you have to edit installer script. how to had been posted few posts before

Cm12 is at very early development stage, so it expects bugs. Use this firmware "as is"

I think we'll edit these files in next build.

In the last 4.4.x CM11 build, there used to be (IIRC) under "Wi-Fi -> Advanced", the option to set wireless channels to the appropriate country code (US, EU, etc.).

Maybe bring that back? Would be nice for travelers at the least.

I got stuck don't know what to do next. Please help.

I used OBIN 3.09 to install custom recovery (openrecovery-twrp-2.8.1.1-v1awifi.img.tar). It took less than a minute. Odin showed PASS! And here is the log:
<ID:0/003> Added!!
<ID:0/003> Odin v.3 engine (ID:3)..
<ID:0/003> File analysis..
<ID:0/003> SetupConnection..
<ID:0/003> Initialzation..
<ID:0/003> Get PIT for mapping..
<ID:0/003> Firmware update start..
<ID:0/003> SingleDownload.
<ID:0/003> recovery.img
<ID:0/003> NAND Write Start!!
<ID:0/003> RQT_CLOSE !!
<ID:0/003> RES OK !!
<ID:0/003> Removed!!
<ID:0/003> Remain Port .... 0
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 1 / failed 0)

The tablet then rebooted. I powered it off and tried to boot into recovery (Volume Down + Power) but I didn't see the any GUI. Instead it booted to black screen with this text:

Warning!!
A custom OS can cause critical problems......

Volume up: Continue
Volume down: Cancel(restart phone)

I pressed the Volume Up, then I saw this texts:

ODIN MODE (red text)
PRODUCT NAME: SM-p900
CURRENT BINARY: Custom
SYSTEM STATUS: Custom
KNOX WARRANTY VOID: 1
RP SWREV: A1

Downloading..
Do not turn off target!!

I don't know what to do next. Please help.
