Well I can safely say that this latest version has a pretty awesome drain rate for the battery, whilst I did dirty flash it, it seems to have worked quite well given that my tablet is not in the greatest operational state with a failing battery, so this update has helped quite a bit in prolonging its use.
Wifi issues seem to have gone, which it seems I am back to full throughput, where as the previous two builds I would have throughput issues until I rebooted the tablet, so good to see this back in healthy order.
Audio has also improved, not sure if
@thompatry had done anything on that front with this build as I have not had a chance to review the update log for it, but this could be a cause and effect result from doing a flash.
I have not had any lockups or random reboots yet, but I will be keeping a close eye on this as it takes about 4-5 days after an upgrade to see any surface (Based on my current usage of the tablet).
I hope to have a report back to
@thompatry on the beta testing of this new build within about 48-72 hours, as I still need to test it from a clean flash with and without a rebuild of applications.... But based on current usage models, it could be ready for public release by weeks end if the testing goes well
Any way guys keep up the feedback, having these updates come through helps prolong these tablets and the use of them, whilst there is nothing out in the market place that I think comes even close to our style of tablet, these updates that
@thompatry is doing does indeed increase the life of them, and believe it or not, it is also a great selling feature if you ever did decide to sell it, having a device that can upgrade to the latest version due to community efforts makes them a much more attractive offer that's for sure.
I will be sending over some more beer money soonish as a gesture of thanks for your efforts
@thompatry.
Cheers,
David.
