Hi, I would ask a question. I've installed the latest version of the ROM. If I turn off the tablet and then I put it on charge, the screen remains always on with the battery icon and high brightness. How can I resolve this? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the latest update. Very snappy !!

The only downside is a hugh hit to the battery life, about 50% in my case. I'm running a fairly 'lean' install, web browsing and YT very ocasionally, so not sure what's going on.

gapps problem

which version of Open Gapps for p905 ???? i have problem to install Gapps....please send me instruction for install play store on lineage os 14.1 !!!!!:crying::crying::crying:

in the first post, there is a linking, where you can select and download the Gapps for Nougat. Select a small one (nano or mini) After flashing the ROM image you can directly flash the gapps behind. After flashing restart the Tablett and wait.... the first restart need a little bit of time...All other missing or needed Google APK you can install backwa out of the Google Store.

One hint for all: (Titanium Backup crashed all time during start)
Titanium Backup must be installed into the internal file system. If you have assigned the external SD Card as internal Filesystem and install Titanium Backup, the Apk crashed all time during start. To solve this issue :shut down the Tablet, please remove the external SD Card, restart (without the external SD card) , install only Titanium Backup, shout down the Tablet and insert the external SD Card back into the slot, Reboot and all things are fine. This issue has used ~1Day to found the workaround.

About the drain of battery with the latest image :
about a smaller mistake from my side, I have make a clean installation (Wipe Data ). There is no issue on my side with faster battery drain... in depend of other Nougat version.

I would recommend a clean install, too. It's need a little bit time to install all apps and insert all authentication and soo, but after that the tablet works without any big issues

You might be right. I'd skipped the July update so might have missed something.

to skip a version in between its not a problem.... but I have make the experience, that with the time (I've make a dirty update from Marshmallow to Nougat) something doesn't run as it should. So a clear install solved the most of issues (most of them a only little)

you didn't find the word "Stable" in this forum....
But I'm not sure, if the image matched your Tablet (we have the P905; you're talking from P905M .... Pls read the first posting carefully, if the image is usefull for you or not

I read yes. the difference between the versions is only the region where the tablet was distributed. so I noticed the specs are the same.

Hi,
First i want to say thanks to Valera1978, it is great to see development still continuous on our beloved P905.

After approximately 2 year with KOKO 115 rom (LL 5.0.2 TW) i flash the latest (23/08/17) version of this rom.
I noticed a big battery drainage (8% during the night, which before i had 0%) and low sound volume.
I did a fresh installation (full wipe, wipe data).
any ideas for how to solve this?

The Lineage 14.1 has a much higher power consumption as LL.
A lower sound I haven't recognized, but it could be possible

What is the different between the 2 Version from the 5 of Oct?
OK another kernel, but with which one, we can expect a) a higher stability and b) a lower power consumption?
Or what was the reason to make a build with 2 diff. kernel?

Thanks for the update. This time I did a total wipe, clean install of standard Kernel and Pico Gapps.

A bit more 'snappy' particularly with Lightening Browser and at this stage, battery consumption looks better, probably down to clean install.

With the alternative build the smart on-off function with the cover does not work. Cover is nop.
With the "standard" build it works as expected.

SM-P905V support?

Hello, I was wondering if this will work with the 905V. The last mention of this was I believe over a year ago. So I'm wondering if anything has improved or changed that would allow this to work on the 905V? I really would love to give some new life to this tablet. The last stock update kind of ruined the audio output and only functions at 50% volume as far as the built-in speakers. I would really like to install this update and refresh this tablet, probably correcting the volume issue as well.

After a few days on the latest release, standard Kernel, my battery life is now very good; loosing about 2% overnight.

I did a complete wipe this time, which I suspect is a contributing factor.

Ooops, It was a lot of changes in config and new kernel and finally I forgot add "su" in device.mk. new version will be today.
General develop of the lineage 15 is still very slow, I want use this time for make stable version of the lineage 14. And then I want back to update my ports (and may be miui).

PS. Is there something I have to change to build it? Because recently I cannot build, I got stuck at the very beginning with a kernel error..
