i was on classic rom. But in the OP does not says anything about flashing a safe kernel first. It does say if coming from ICS do a factory reset and thats exactly what i did.
You have missed out something very important in instruction. You should come from cm9 not ICS. People might think other kernel or any other base.*** PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS VERY FIRST PREVIEW BETA. READ BUG SECTION BELOW BEFORE FLASHING ***
To be honest, this is not tablet mode at all, it has nothing to do with silly build.prop hacks. This is the first and only Android rom to feature true Hybrid mode. This rom lets you scale and project every app, every widget, even systemcomponents individually. Remember, android is modular, everything is an app: Lockscreen, navigationbar, dialogs, popups, keyboards, widgets, and your regular apps of course. Apps have the capability to switch into various designs or layouts according to the device they run on. This can result in a complete new experience as many apps will transform to the better.
Now for every element that you like chose a mode (PhoneUI, Phablet/Nexus-7UI, TabletUI) and/or a size. You are 100% independent of the system DPI which runs nicely in whatever value it has been assigned to. You do not need to boot your phone into a certain DPI. Neither will most of the changes you apply require a reboot. You will not suffer from the myriads of troubles which normally haunt you under build.prop tablet mode. Your market, phone, etc. will all work, apps won't shrink on you unless you shrink them yourself. This project will entirely transform your device, but retain the aesthetics and the feel of your phone.

- CWM: Install Zip: Gapps: Download
- CWM: Wipe Cache Partition
- CWM: Advanced/Wipe Dalvik Cache
- Reboot and edit your Apps Dpi & Layout under Settings/Paranoid Settings
- If you want to explore the various phone modes, tap "Configuration," chose an option, wait for it to finish, then do a manual reboot

- Tablet mode is unusable now: status bar does NOT appear in tablet mode. Other hybrid modes and PAD/PAL settings are usable.

It is under INSTRUCTIONS with red letters CWM: Please, wipe data/factory reset if coming from ICS!
Unfortunately it is completely dead. I do not know what to do. I have a jig but it does not do anything either.

Since months everyone should know that CM9 (now CM10) needs a GB-base ! Or at least a GB-kernel for a full-wipe.

And one other thing. I put the phone on to charger and despite the fact that the phone is heating up on back around the camera the battery itself is cold.
Did you try putting in download mode.

yes i first saw this then i played a little with the settings and it worked
go to paranoid settings --> config --> put it into phablet mode small or big its your choice and the notification bar will appear
i really find this rom beautiful
Have you got any idea how to fix this? Even if that is including changing the motherboard?

Its better you take it to the service centre. Nothing can be done. As the link says posted by ukicar, tell them you OTA updating your phone and stopped working. Good luck and I am sorry for you. A simple mistake in op, but you should have know better. Just research before flashing.
