Hi guys!

I'm currently running CM10 Preview by XpLoDWilD, do you think i need to get back to CM9 and then flash PAv1.1 or I just can flash PAv1.1 wiping cache/dalvik? And in this case I need a wipe data?

Thanks a lot

Aphroditelikesme check his channel cursed4eva and he has posted a very clear video about how to flash CM10. please go back to GB and flash. let it take little extra time and effort. It is worth more then bricking your device.
The dear friend who bricked his phone my sympathies and sincere regret. my suggestion spare some time and do every thing mentioned on this forum to reclaim your note. If you succeeded then share your experience. There is always an easy way out of taking the phone to service center.

For removing the software buttons, i did the 'expand desktop' in the power menu and rebooted, then clicked it again and I got notification bar and no software buttons....I thought this was great but the notification bar still only goes to where the start of the software buttons would be if they were visible and not all the way down.

Is there any way to sort this or another method of getting rid of the software buttons?

Did someone try to restore nandroid backup (CM9 PA v 0.5) from this ROM? Is there any problem in doing this?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, I usually go back to stock GB by Odin, then I flash a kernel with root and cwm and then you can flash CM10. This is a 100% safe method

*** PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS VERY FIRST PREVIEW BETA. READ BUG SECTION BELOW BEFORE FLASHING ***

To be honest, this is not tablet mode at all, it has nothing to do with silly build.prop hacks. This is the first and only Android rom to feature true Hybrid mode. This rom lets you scale and project every app, every widget, even systemcomponents individually. Remember, android is modular, everything is an app: Lockscreen, navigationbar, dialogs, popups, keyboards, widgets, and your regular apps of course. Apps have the capability to switch into various designs or layouts according to the device they run on. This can result in a complete new experience as many apps will transform to the better.
Now for every element that you like chose a mode (PhoneUI, Phablet/Nexus-7UI, TabletUI) and/or a size. You are 100% independent of the system DPI which runs nicely in whatever value it has been assigned to. You do not need to boot your phone into a certain DPI. Neither will most of the changes you apply require a reboot. You will not suffer from the myriads of troubles which normally haunt you under build.prop tablet mode. Your market, phone, etc. will all work, apps won't shrink on you unless you shrink them yourself. This project will entirely transform your device, but retain the aesthetics and the feel of your phone.

DON'T flash FROM ANY SAMSUNG ICS OR ROMS BASED ON SAMSUNG KERNELS (my CM9, AOSP, etc)

  • CWM: Please, wipe data/factory reset if coming from ICS!
  • CWM: Install Zip: Rom: http://d-h.st/3Lv (mirrors are welcomed, my upload speed sucks)
  • CWM: Install Zip: Gapps: Download
  • CWM: Wipe Cache Partition
  • CWM: Advanced/Wipe Dalvik Cache
  • Reboot and edit your Apps Dpi & Layout under Settings/Paranoid Settings
  • If you want to explore the various phone modes, tap "Configuration," chose an option, wait for it to finish, then do a manual reboot

super nice, thanks for your work. :good:

Ok, argh getting so much different information Im confused =)

I thought of doing it with CWM in the phone, installing any GB rom (got cassies extra lite rom lying around). Then wiping and installing this rom. I thought that ok but from this thread a guy told me that I gotta use ABYSS kernel to wipe.. I gotta flash a STOCK rom first???

Someone said the only thing that matters is flashing from a safe cm9 kernel. But I prefer to start over from a stock GB. Maybe is useless but I don't wanna brick my Note for being lazy ;)
