Re: [AOSPA 4.2.1] PARANOIDANDROID 2.99 betaNINE.9+ (Jan 24) | PIE, FIRST BETA RELEASE

If you miss
- CM like power widget/toggles - I personally use now "Power Toggles" from PlayStore. Nice and customizable
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.painless.pc
Or Notification Toggles, very nice as well....

- Chronus, the new CM clock/weather widget for the Home+Lock Screen, just head over to this thread and install it from there:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=36177077
It is a port for AOSPA by Quinny. Works&is nice!

Thanks again, beerbong! Loving it! :)

I just tested with Apex (and standard Launcher) > via hybrid properties set to 213 (160) @ 720 PX
I get the feeling it starts lagging. So, I set it back to standard (320dpi @ 360) and it feels smooth again!
I suggest not to use one DPI to nail down system, but rather recommend to do it app by app. Not all apps are tablet ready, and you won't be able to fund out why...

BTW > when I am in hybrid properties, it does take some time to activate the apps tab. It seems to me, that it needs two clicks in order to bring up the app customization menu-anyone else can confirm?

what did you do to get the rom up and running? i wiped data 3 times, installed rom, installed gapps, wiped cache 3 times, and davalik 3 times and nothing... then partitioned system, preload, cache, and data and re did the instructions i explained earlier and i still get fc's on phone and messaging to the point where i cant even choose the language

One click is enough, but yes, it takes a while, has to load some stuff

No single fc here, i installed with full wipe this morning.

ROM didn't install properly first time, neeeded to clear cache flash, clear cache before it worked

Few issues with clock app, but a cache clear worked fine

Changes I've noticed that I'm not sure on

Missing toggles in the notification bar, I loved the old toggles, they were sleek and professional. Much more so than the google ones.
No ability to remove Google search bar or increase grid size on the homescreen. Has the launcher changed?

First time I kicked in Expanded desktop mode, it made my icons massive and act like my screen was 4 times bigger than it is.
Reboot resolved that.

Can't seem to find where to bring back the ring unlock before typing in my PIN.

No Apollo

Screen will not rotate on homescreen

Re: [AOSPA 4.2.1] PARANOIDANDROID 2.99 betaNINE.9+ (Jan 24) | PIE, FIRST BETA RELEASE

PIE feature > how to reach quick tiles or notifications

Swipe over the left half of the PIE brings up quick tiles!
Swipe over the right half of the PIE brings up notifications!

Hell, I love this killer feature. BTW the kill all feature is hidden in PIE as well. Enjoy

@beerbong > you're right, it does need only one click! Was a bit impatient

redownloaded rom and no go, mind posting a md5?
85c2416b7561e63b51d364dafa06e6e0

I hope it's the same. I got this build already yesterday to test. :) If not just extract the zip with your computer, solid explorer or root explorer or just check zip with 7zip or any other program that's able to do that. :)

Thanks @beerbong for this great rom.

Toggles > use Power Toggles from the Store or similar
Apollo is not part of AOSP, it is even not available anymore in PlayStore, due to license/© broplems with MusicMatch
Screen rotation works
PIE has a customization feature to adjust the size from big to small
