I have the same camera problem with my DEFY, but it is solved after "uninstall 2ndInit Recovery"...
This is not related to sbf version, I tried some 2.2.1 and 2.2.2, the camera go "blind" after 2ndInit installed (and reboot).

Need help here, i'm new owner for the defy, and my phone come with Rom 2.1, so i tend to swap it into this rom, everything run fine until when i flash the "pay" rom and the screen come out with:

Amend scripting (update-script) is no longer supported.
Amend scripting was deprecated by Google in Android 1.5.
It was necessary to remove it when upgrading to the ClockworkMod 3.0 Gingerbread based recovery.
Please switch to Edify scripting (updater-script and update-binary) to create working update zip packages.

wat can i do to instell the pay ram???

anyone can help me??

Try version 1.4.2 of 2nd init. It worked for me.

i did not do any thing still my phone hanged and it was not starting up i had to put it in charger it drained the battery. not starting up completely

hi, i wanted to ask, is there any fix.zip for an improved gps -fix waiting time?
in comparision to CM7 on motorola defy, PAY's ROM 6.0 is much slower in generating an immediate localisation. Today, (a completely sunny day ) i couldn't get any signal from my GPS for ages (approximately 20 minutes of trying), and finally had to give up after trying unsuccessfully. I tried it in my car, in its usual place, where it usually takes abpprox 5-8 minutes to get a localisation fix. Today- without any success.

thereofre i would be very interested in installing something that can make my gps as fast as in cyanogenmod 7, where it took about 20 seconds to have a fixed gps connection even in my room under the roof!

Camera preview works with 2ndinit if you set "normal" boot by default.

Need help with stock defy

I have a new US tmo defy and want to flash pays rom on it. I am coming from a g1 which is ancient so i know adb and all that jazz just need some instructions on going from stock defy to having pays rom on it? I know this is n00b stuff but dont wanna brick this brand new baby! I need to know if i need to upgrade the bootloader and radio or whatever needs to be done to run this rom!? Thanks a lot :

Forgive my English, how come if I install the rom I still find a lot of software as the SBF ...MAPS and others... not present in the ROM PAYS? How can I do to have a ROM PAYS very light and free of most of the basic series? Thanks.
