I think his point was if it's not actually counting it as free space for full res backups, then the dev should change it back to how it was before so it doesn't count against our storage. And if it is counting against our storage with this setup, then I agree with him.

couldnt update to new pixel icons apk or earth wallpapers, but only to live data based wallpapers (apk mirror). just in case it's of importance somehow. @argraur

Unfortunately, this did not work for me. However, I'm not on the latest update of this ROM, so I'll update and report back when I'm on the newest version. Perhaps Argraur fixed something in between versions.
Just so I'm clear, FixxeH, your Photos app still shows the 'Original' setting, but you've updated in your Chrome browser on your phone to the 'High Quality' setting, and this setting seems to stick?

No one is trying to cheat Google. Within the ROM, one can't edit the 'photo quality' setting, it is fixed to the 'original quality' setting. On an actual Pixel, this storage is unlimited. But for non-Pixel phones, that takes up Drive storage space. We're not asking Argraur to give us free unimted space from Google at the Original quality setting. We just want the setting for 'High Quality, unlimited' to be an option.

My wife has official stock on her Nexus 5X and she got update to 7.1.1 today morning. This update is disappointment, because there are no visible changes: I expected the new buttons in navbar like in Pixel ROM etc. It's look like 7.0.... It's a pity...

I hope you will continue with development of this ROM

No it doesnt. Shortcuts added, new opening animations, new settings look. Are you blind? You want pixel launcher? download the apk. The stock 7.1.1 gives me better battery life than this rom, so bye :)

I am using this ROM for the past 4-5 days. There is no problem and the battery usage seems quite normal for Nougat. However, rightly 7.1.1 does not provide anything really new for Nexus 5X. It is certainly good to use Pixel Launcher and have night light.
