Sorry if this has been posted but with P7, I can't backup with CW, it says 'E: failed to seek in /cache/update.zip (invalid argument) E: signature failed. Any ideas?

The official froyo release will basically render all of these rom's useless. I wonder when devs will stop updating there leaked froyo hacks and just wait for the official release to mod. Maybe the gingerbread release will keep you guys busy but I am assuming there will be even more problems porting that over. Oh well. Thanks for the kernel dg.

So we can have a continually better experience with our Captivates instead of giving up and waiting for the final release, which is unscheduled. There ROms WON'T be useless because DG will just recreate them on top of the new final Froyo base. And continually make it better. By your logic he'd stop after official Froyo and either wait for Gingerbread or buy a new phone with new updates and dev for that. So no... it's not right

Its obvious by that 1 statement that you dont have the XDA blood flowing through you. You obviously have no idea what you are talking about, and some companies have even used fixes that have come from XDA members. Please refrain from trolling up the tread in the future.

no its okay im not gonna flash a DG rom...going to axura cause apperantly i make him lol....instead of supporting thier fans...peace

You are missing the point, all the people that complained about p8 reverting to p7 are now on p8 because they decided to go back and read. Now they are doing the same thing again, and again when I release p10 they will be wanting p9 back because the got the install process down and working for them.

You should probably just stick with stock 2.1 if you are going to get upset and not read back a few pages to find answers to your problem.

Build 9 is out to testers... if you know where the files are, grab them and report back via PM or IRC!

    Thanks!

OKAY AGAIN FOR FLASHING PERCEPTION BUILD 9

    FLASH back to Stock JF6
    Wipe Data / Wipe Cache
Install UPDATE.ZIP if not on sd card

boot in to CLOCK WORK RECOVERY.
    LOAD PERCEPTION BUILD 9
    WIPE DATA / WIPE CACHE

do not install anything else while in CLOCK WORK RECOVERY

REBOOT PHONE... Let phone sync takes about 5-10mins

I Have not had one issue doing this... so far 90% of all the issues is from people loading from BUILD 8 or another rom.....

    New gingerbread keyboard is multitouch

Some things I extracted from here: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=865701

Better performance (even with no lag fix but still uses RFS)
Set different wallpaper on lock screen
    last picture preview in camera
    Faster browser
    Newer version of swype
    Faster boot time
    Easier/faster screen unlock,
Muted sound when battery is fully charged
    Improved GPS

On the negative side, Stay Awake in Setttings > Development has been removed.

Settings > Applications > Development is still there ;)

edit, Oh, I see what you are saying... odd removal...
