There are 2 wifi chipsets on note II one Semchos (or something like this I don't remember exactly how it's written) and murata

Help with flashing

Hello there guys, it's been awhile since I came here again for note 2. First of all awesome job Comico, I was using your LOS OS 7.1.2 I think and just started upgrading to Havoc here. And stuck on boot animation the 2 bllue balls.

So here is the steps I did to reach this far:

I upgraded TWRP successfully
Made factory reset (normal one)
Flashed ROM file then wiped cache and dalvik, now it doesn't want to proceed so I can add gapps as well after the first boot.
Am I doing anything wrong now that I missed somehow.

Please advise

You didn't flash it properly.
You need to wipe system, data, cache
Then flash ROM
Then flash gapps if you want them. (Never boot firstly then flash gapps)
Then reboot

I'll explain briefly again my issue. I have tried several apps for recording but the microphone doesn't really seem to work. It creates always a recording with a persistent white noise. Instead if I'm having a call, whether it's via WiFi or just a normal one, the microphone doesn't work (or doesn't turn on) until I enable the loudspeaker. When I do that the microphone works but then I can't use the phone properly since the loudspeaker, as the name implies, are...well, too loud...

Any suggestions?
I could also give log on the issue, if somebody will kindly explain to me how to create such a thing.

Anyway for some unforeseen reason the microphone seems to work correctly again. The only thing that i did was to activate the developer mode... I really don't know if this is somehow connected tough...
Anyway thanks again for the support. I hope the telephone will stay in this working status for long.

Is it fixible? Is phrase "GPS is dead" means 'GPS driver for Pie' problem and not hardware-related?

Problem is not GPS driver for Pie, problem is GPS driver for the BCM47521 chip inside Note2.

It's maybe possible to fix it. The driver is /bin/gpsd. But how does it communicate with Android system? Plain NMEA or binary? Probably the cleanest solution would be to update LocationManager.java and either add 1024 weeks to GPS date, or remove GPS support and only use Glonass. But it is also possible that BCM47521 and the driver don't work at all anymore at acquiring a sat-fix. Then we are out of luck.

The problem on with gps in Oreo and pie has nothing to do with gps rollover. How many times do I need to say this?
