I'm working on updating/fixing priv-app permissions for mods now. I do most fixing on Lineage, then bring those changes to the other ROMs. I'll have a build ready for tomo evening for sure (it's after midnight now - 12am).

How is it going? Would love to leave stock behind, but Mods are to useful to leave them, so I'm "stuck" with ofw.

I can't speak for all mods, as I only have the Battery Mod, but at least got that one fully functional.

I'll be releasing LOS 16.0, RR-P, and AOSiP Pie updates here shortly. Just finishing up one last thing for APN's.

I have a couple of Mods, willing to try if and when you get a stable build.

If you guys check my AFH page, I've uploaded new builds of Lineage, RR, AOSiP, and TWRP. I haven't had a chance to create the new xda threads for the new ROMs and TWRP yet, but I've released these builds on Telegram.

One user has a lot of the Moto Mods. Battery Mod is now fully functional. Projector Mod works, Gamepad works. Audio mods not so much (as including audio blobs for mods causes other audio issues) and all camera mods that depend on MotCameraMod.apk don't work as I would need to include that app, which I can in the next builds.

Just keep in mind that encryption is fully enabled in all ROMs (tho SELinux is still Permissive). For working TWRP decryption, use the build on my AFH page in the TWRP folder. There is also a twrp-installer for permanent twrp installation which also has working decryption too and can be retained so that you don't actually need to "fastboot boot twrp" anymore. The twrp-installer flashes to both slots, so just make sure to flash it after the ROM.zip before you reboot and TWRP will be there after the reboot.

I'd like to flash Lineage. Are the instructions for it the same as in the OP for RR? I have just unlocked the bootloader and have not flashed a ROM on the Z3 Play or any other A/B type device. Thanks.

I just registered an account so I could say: thank you so much! You fixed the issues I was having with sending and receiving SMS messages :D

This is probably a very stupid question, but is it possible that you could either point me in the direction of your source code for your build of RR, or upload it if you haven't yet so I could build it myself? Would very much appreciate it.

Regardless, you rock man! :good:

Do we need to follow the installation instructions all over again in order to install these new builds? I'd really like not having to erase and install everything I have on my phone again :(

And do you think SELinux could be Enforcing at some point in the future? Or does it need to be Permissive for the ROM to properly work?

Depending on what build you're on now, you will need to Format data, especially if coming from stock.

As far as SELinux goes, I will fix it up eventually. Currently my focus is on Android 10. Once I get a mostly functional build released, I'll finish up with the Pie ROMs.

I'm on 7.0.2-20190530, do I need to format?

Oh, ok. Thanks a lot for replying and for your awesome work!

You will definitely need to Format data. Encryption was disabled in that build until I was able to fix data decryption in TWRP, which I have since fixed. Also, make sure to use the twrp-installer zip marked with "SEPT" for working decryption when installed [emoji6]. You can find it in the AFH links above.

Is it possible to load bootloader and twrp normally?

I get a continuous error 7 in twrp attempting to restore my backup or reinstall RR. The first install worked, second and beyond fails. Fastboot still works for a stock rom image.

I'm using the Lineage version posted here. I'm seeing some odd behavior.
Gapps doesn't want to take. I have tried a few times even using the ab zip to format. I install the rom, then Gapps and it boots without any google apps. I can re-install Gapps but that makes it unhappy.

Also, bluetooth is crashing. I don't know how to update the bluetooth drivers.

---------- Post added at 11:37 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:35 PM ----------

Just to be clear, my understanding is that Lineage is updated first. I don't really care which rom I have as long as it's rooted. Any suggestions on which one to try?

I need more info on what you did before this happened. Sounds a lot like you switched slots..

On A/B devices, you can't flash the ROM zip and GApps immediately after. Custom ROMs flash to the other slot, so when you flash GApps after it flashes to the current slot which is why when you reboot, GApps aren't present.

Follow this process and you should never have issues..

1) Reboot to bootloader
2) Boot twrp
3) Flash copy-partitions-AB.zip
4) Choose Wipe > Format data and type yes
5) Flash ROM.zip
6) Flash twrp-installer.zip
7) Reboot and let boot once
8) Reboot to twrp
9) Choose Wipe > Format data and type yes
10) Flash Gapps.zip
11) Flash Magisk.zip
12) Reboot
13) Enjoy [emoji6]

I was able to solve and already reinstalled the Custom ROM. Note for my situation. My cell phone went into a brick that the screen didn't even turn on. I ran a blankFlash file and only then did the phone turn on again. After returning to the bootloader I managed to follow the procedures and I am happy to have recovered the phone. Thank you very much for your willingness and when you come to Brazil will be very welcome. Hugs...

Edit, nevermind. I had no idea that fingerprints ruined the decryption key.

Is there a way to unencrypt the storage? I finally got it working and TWRP can't read the storage anymore. My pin doesn't work as the password and I tried changing the password to unlock but of course it's too late. I tried anyway just to be sure. I'd rather it not encrypt if it makes TWRP useless.

BTW my bluetooth issues fixed themselves somehow. I have no idea how.

Any word on what's causing the bluetooth bug? It's back and now Bluetooth is off for good. Someone on another forum suggested that the bt driver may be in the wrong slot. I have no idea.

Resurrection Remix the ROM has been based on LineageOS, SlimRoms, Omni and original Remix ROM builds, this creates an awesome
combination of performance, customization, power and the most new features, brought directly to your Device.

Many things that in previous versions were tweaked with mods, are now included by default in the ROM so, please enjoy!
Special thanks to the LineageOS team, Omni team, SlimRoms and of course to all the supporters.

Make sure you have the latest TWRP.img
Download the latest RR-P zip and GApps zip (opengapps nano or smaller)
fastboot boot twrp.img (TWRP cannot be flashed permanently at this time)
If coming from stock for the first time, flash copy-partitions-AB.zip from second post (It takes a backup of active slot to inactive slot)
In TWRP, choose -> Wipe -> Format data and type "yes" at the prompt (Note: this will wipe internal storage)
    Flash latest RR-P.zip
Reboot and let the ROM boot once (it is necessary to reboot between ROM flash and GApps/Addon flash due to verity/slot-swap logic)
Reboot back to bootloader and fastboot boot twrp.img again
In TWRP, choose -> Wipe -> Format data and type "yes" at the prompt (You may be able to get away with just doing a factory reset at this point, but that's on you to try)
    Flash Google Apps package (optional)
Flash Magisk (also optional) (Note: If Magisk doesn't stick after setting up your device, fastboot boot twrp.img one last time and flash it again, no need to wipe anything)
First boot may take up to 10 minutes.

If you have a major bug to report that has not been reported already, please take the following steps to report it to us. It will save you, Team Resurrection Remix and me quite some time.

Download the MatLog app from the Play Store.
After downloading the MatLog app, go to the app settings, and change the log level to Debug.
Clear all previous logs and take the exact steps to produce the error you are receiving. As soon as you receive the error (probably a force close), go straight into MatLog and stop the log recording.
Copy and paste the entire log either to Hastebin or Pastebin
Save the log, and copy and paste the link into the thread with a brief description of the error.

Starting from build 20190414, encryption is disabled (temporarily) and you must clean flash

    [size=+1]Coming from stock?[/size]

Make sure to flash the copy-partitions-AB.zip in twrp before you do anything else. You can download it from the attachment below...
    3
So if I did not flash this the last time, could this be causing problems?
It's possible, as that zip copies the needed partitions to both slots. By default, custom ROMs flash to the inactive slot and if you didn't flash that zip, than it's possible needed files are missing.

I'm adding some carrier apps to my vendor source from stock in hopes this will help allow you guys using CDMA carriers to edit your apns and fix these issues.
    Great rom!

Everything is working great on Bell Mobility, except data

I can send and receive SMS
I can send and receive calls

But once I'm off wifi data won't work. And I'm unable to edit the APN settings to try and fix
Read last paragraph above. I'll be pushing a new update in the next day or two (maybe even this evening) with some carrier apps in hopes to help with that issue.
Moto modo battery is working, JBL sound is not. Here a demo v
Ok, the only Mod I have is the battery mod. I've updated the Moto Mods related apks and blobs from stock Pie. Maybe that'll help with the Mods.
and is the one nav bar option available as well as gesture navigation?
The Moto OneNav from stock isn't available, no. But you can use the stock pie gesture nav by enabling it in > Settings > System > Gestures > Swipe up on Home button
    I'm wondering the same question
    See above [emoji6]

Also, new update has a lot of new features and fixes in RR source. Keep in mind, you won't be able to update thru the Updater app (it'll give a message about the update being blocked). There was an issue that's since been fixed for updating from v7.0.0 to v7.0.1. Future ota updates won't be an issue. Also, I had a chance to test the Updater app and it does support Seamless updates (similar to stock) [emoji106]

Does It have Moto Mods support?
It has some Moto Mods support, yes. I only have the battery mod that came with the device, and it is working (both default and efficiency modes). There should be support for more mods as well, but not all mods.
