I installed this new build and the May firmware updates. This one seems to be a loser. I can't even boot back into TWRP on the same slot after I install it which tells me it might be a kernel issue. Rolling back...

EDIT: The most recent April build seems to be working fine with the May firmware, so the problem is definitely with the new ROM.

Yup build seems to be broken, doesn't boot

By directly writing and clearing all the data and then writing two methods, I found that this version of WiFi cannot be opened. I encountered a problem in the flashing writing, flashing and playing to restart to rec, can not restart to rec, just stay in the bl interface.

Looks like @Androbots corrected the issue with the ROM. I now have the May update loaded and running without issue.

PS It works only without ambient display. If AD turns on - power button long press = power menu )

for the power button torch you need to wait for the screen go completely black for a few seconds and then try either long pressing or double tapping the power button to activate the torch. Sadly its a RR specific issue and i can do nothing about (i think but i will check)
touch issues: i have never heard any complains from anyone. you are the first one. again i will check and see if anyone else reports the same issue or not

i tried looking into it but i didn't find the problem you are talking about. Maybe do a clean flash. sorry for the inconvenience.

FWIW, I do get occasional touch issues, but I've gotten them on every ROM I've ever installed on the phone (didn't use Stock long enough on it to know whether or not my hardware is the issue). My wife also has an Essential but its running the Stock ROM and it doesn't have these issues. For me the issue generally manifests after the screen has been on awhile and some small portion of the screen turns into a dead zone. Putting the screen to sleep for a few seconds and turning it back on afterwards generally resolves the issue.

Like I said, this behavior isn't specific to this ROM and I've seen the issue on every ROM I've installed on the phone. Generally it only happens to me once a day at most so it's that not big of a deal, hence my lack of *****ing.

Hi all. So I am a complete NOOB to this... But I successfully flashed the Resurrection Remix ROM to my essential phone (albeit the 7.0.1 version) also flashed Gapps to it but my google apps do not work at all, I have been unable to use Gmail, home button keeps popping up "pixel setup has crashed" message, couldn't even sync my Gmail contacts. First I would like to know why I have these issues and also I would like assistance on how to upgrade to the 7.0.2 upgrade. I do not even know if anything I've said made sense

Btw, my phone's an essential phone
