Hi @nitin.chobhe ! Recently switched from stock ROM to PixelDust and it's a great experience! I see the battery life has improved and also liking the hidden nav bar.

1 issue that I noticed right away is that the At A Glance widget does not change colour when a light wallpaper is applied. On stock ROM, it all the UI elements like status bar, at a glance and nav bar change to black when a white-ish wallpaper is applied, I am not seeing the same behaviour here. Any ideas?

I have attached a screenshot of the same. This is a clean flash and I also tried clearing PD launcher cache and disabling and enabling the widget.

Fastboot flash the stock (factory) boot image to get rid of TWRP. There is not a separate recovery partition on this phone. It is located within the boot image so flashing the stock boot image will replace TWRP with the stock recovery.

When you flash/install TWRP it patches the boot image, but so does Magisk and on Android 11 they don't play nice together. That's why you should only fastboot the TWRP image and not install it.

EDIT: Actually, if you are still on this rom flash the boot image from this rom zip to remove TWRP. I was thinking you were on stock.

I have no issue running this ROM, with magisk and TWRP installed. I followed these steps.
-install Decembers Stock 11 ROM
-fastboot TWRP
-flash Pixeldust(best ROM ever)
-switch slots(reboot bootloader, fastboot twrp, OR what I do, in TWRP hit reboot, select unselected slot)
- now flash TWRP
-reboot to system, and setup Pixeldust
-now reboot recovery(TWRP in already installed)
-flash magisk, reboot system
-once rebooted, install magisk manager, open it, in settings select magisk hide.
-done

Should have Pixeldust, rooted with TWRP installed .

Is that after you flashed December stock 11? Or coming from August PD 10?

PixelDust ROM is an Android 11 ROM especially built for the current Google Pixel devices and aimed for stability at its core with themes and customizations.

Our philosophy is to offer all the features known from the Google Pixel Factory Images paired with a useful selection of the coolest custom ROM features.

Our project is based off directly from AOSP. We attach great importance to aesthetics, themeability and personalization. For this we have integrated a great selection of space wallpapers and a special theme app (many thanks to Dirty Unicorns for their code base) in the settings of the Android OS.

The PixelDust Crew would highly appreciate if you would take a little of your time and leave your valuable feedback, your honest opinion or just say hello. If you should encounter a bug, or some kind of glitch that seems to be abnormal and you are pretty sure that it is related to the ROM (and not related to any special apps or mods you flashed on top), then please give as many details as possible.

Special shoutouts to Roger.T for his amazingly designed wallpapers, logos and the best bootanimation I ever had on my Pixel!!! If you like our work, please consider to buy Roger the first beer, and a few more for the other team members and spezi77. Cheers!

    Disclaimer:
If your device fails to comply with your standards of what you consider functioning, I am not liable. This is provided free of charge and does not come with a warranty. Although, if you provide a log, I can provide some sort of assurance that I will look into your issue.

Show me a screenshot on stock. This behaves same as stock.

I don't have a screenshot of stock, but here is a pic taken from Google Image search.

The At A Glance is black as the background is light and white whereas if I apply this same wallpaper on this ROM it comes out as attached below.

Also, the labels are not visible in folders and the background for folders is black for some reason, while I have the light theme applied.

    Hi everyone,
i dont know if this fits here but i need some help, I bought a used Google Pixel2 from a marketplace website. Everything seemed fine, until I started receiving a notification saying "Device managed by admin - Automatically resetting soon." When I tap on it, it gives me an error saying "Device setup keeps stopping". I checked the phone's IMEI but it doesn't classify as lost/stolen. If I try to factory reset the phone, it asks me for a "@google.com" adress. My question is, should I be worried? Is there any way to fix this?

This is not related to this thread, however - to begin with, just use the Google flash to force install the latest build in both the slots and a wipe data to start clean. Alternatively, you can do the same thing manually if you know the steps.
The aim is to start the device from scratch as factory reset isnt working.

    Hi,
thank you for this rom. I've used for a while and the performance is very good. But I have a problem with WiFi.. When I turn on WiFi it takes about 10-15 seconds before connecting to the network. Seeing in the WiFi settings I see that it makes a first attempt, then pauses (I don't know why) and then reconnects successfully. I have tried other kernels and there is no problem, the connection is fast and without any problems. What can it be? How can I fix?
    Regards

    Thanks for your feedback.

Thanks for you reply. I've tried ElementalX and Sultan kernels and I didn't have any problem with WiFi. I've tried to reset WiFi settings but no lucky. I've rollback to stock kernel because I didn't have great performance with the kernels mentioned before.
If it's useful my modem router is WPA3 compatible (FRITZ!Box 7530)

First post in this thread, the ROM seems awesome but I've run into an issue.

Did a clean install of latest December 2020 update, temp booted Magisk, installed the latest build of PD, all is fine until I get to setup, I can't use my touchscreen at all!

Physical buttons seem to work fine, but I can't navigate through setup without touchscreen.

    What I'm running:
Pixel 2 XL clean (wiped) install of Dec 2020 security image, no root, TWRP was not installed but temp booted (3.5.0.9).

I may try redownloading the ROM and reflashing, this is odd, I've run some other ROMs on this phone lately and haven't run into this issue before. Did I miss something during install?

Thanks for any help, and apologies if this has been reported before, new XDA is difficult to search on nowadays...😄

Why are you using old TWRP? Use 3.4.0.1.

And can't agree more on search on XDA :)

When installing this version of the ROM depends on the Google logo
Do not try the zips that are not released here. I was testing that build done by @spezi77. Unfortunately we are still not able to find the cause of issue with taimen build :(

Looks like you missed my post above yours. There is no new build yet after February. We are checking when the next build can be released. No dates yet.

Have people had luck using Google Pay on PixelDust by using the magisk modules?

For a few months now, Google Pay has passed for myself and others without the need of my module
Im not currently using it and havent been for a month now

Most ROMs i have tested recently build with @kdrag0n 's universal safetynet fix in them, i dont know if this does, its not specified anywhere, in which case you can download from here and install via magisk manager, and reboot, then continue below.....

All you should currently need is to is pass SafetyNet, which means installing magisk and enabling magiskhide, testing SafetyNet and making sure GooglePlay Store is certified

In steps after ROM flash and Magisk flash/install:

      1) Open Magisk Manager
      2) Go to Settings
      3) Enable Magiskhide
      4) Test safetynet

Please note currently the API Key John used in the Magisk Manager main page test has been revoked and this test will not pass
you need to use a 3rd party app to test:

      5) If this passes then check Google Play Store Settings > About says certified

      If it doesnt:

      Toggle airplane mode on

Via Settings > Apps > Show All Apps > Show system, clear data for:

      Google Play Store
      Google Play Services

Note: This WILL remove any cards in Google Pay, including loyalty cards

Then reboot, toggle Airplane Mode back off and test SafetyNet

If it passes, try adding your card to Google Pay

If it still doesnt pass it may be a ROM issue, we have seen even a ROM with universal safetynet fix not pass safetynet recently
