Has anyone tried any of those newest builds on the SourceForge site? If so, any input? Bugs/issues, installation/flashing problems, etc? Tempted to try it on my daily driver

I've discovered a bit of an annoying bug that seems to not be listed here.

When using mobile hotspot, if signal is lost the phone seems to dump all the data settings and refuses to reconnect to mobile data, even after full strength 4g is showing on other phones. Apps show no data connection too.

I've tried cycling the data, restarting the phone and clearing cache/dalvik to no avail. The only way to get data back is by factory resetting the device via TWRP.

Anything else I should try for when this happens again? Because it does it every time I lose signal in an area that I'm using hotspot at the same time in.

Try airplane mode for about 1 minute. That usually makes it grab a signal. Never heard of having ta reset a phone for lost signal from hotspot. And I use it all the time. Almost sounds like a hardware issue.

Nitin,
Maybe just jump straight to 12.1 seems arrowos is working. Not sure what's happening with the down load page. But those that have it like it so far.

It is booted and everything works except encryption - that's the only reason I'm not releasing it.

Encryption -- do you mean the standard device lock/pin, etc? I'll glaaaadly still use the ROM given that little flaw. Is the most recent upload on the Source forge site the "best" of all those uploaded? There's been a ton over the past month and I've been wanting to try one but as my daily driver didn't want to risk it. Kudos for the work in any case, love this ROM

By "Encryption", I meant the data encryption.

Yes, I've been building and testing the builds. Build with name "PixelDust-Snowcone-aosp-taimen-eng-20220516-0615.zip" should work fine.

Nitin, what is wrong with encryption? Is it block or could be solved? Encryptioning is quite sensitive thing, right? Must be solid and safe 100%

I know right? That is why I did not release it.

Had I known the reason, I would have fixed it ;)

I tried hundreds of things but nothing worked. I'm using Pixel Experience device trees and just modified them for PD (taimen, wahoo, kernel, vendor). Even @PixelBoot tried to help but we could not resolve the issue.

If anyone has any ideas, they are welcome.

So it did it again tonight. Full signal, no data. Voice works. The phone is showing data is enabled but does not display "4G" up top and all apps report "No connection".

I've tried restarting, toggling the data on and off, airplane mode for hours, clearing dalvik/cache...

The only way to re-enable data is to factory reset.

crDroid is a great alternative in my opinion -- there's one for Android 12.1. I used crDroid for a few years on another device and am currently using it on a Pixel 4 XL as well

It doesn't mean anything. Nittin said he was going to find a fix for it.
I found the fix, the error will be gone in next build (I'm not yet sure about when that new build would come, but it is definitely on cards).

As mentioned in the past, the error can be safely ignored.

found a bug - i tried playing music with Spotify and when I turn off screen the music stops abruptly (pause play randomly).
Also music gets interrupted when I unlock the screen.

music playback works fine if I keep screen turned on.
Any help on how to fix this?
Its a known issue, just turn off that song recognition thing in settings/sound&vibration/now playing and turn it off...

Very smooth and quick ROM. Thank you.
It would be my great daily phone if it was compatible with android auto. Anyway, it's a great ROM.

I flashed the latest A11 december 2020 factory image on both slots.
I tried to sideload the latest pixeldust, it failed with a verification error.I tried to install with TWRP, it fails with the errors from the attached pic.
I`ve used the latest TWRP version and also older ones but with no success.
    Any ideas?

I was getting the same error coming from stock because I did not flash the repartition zip before flashing this ROM. that's what I did for the successful installation

    1) unlocked bootloader
    2) Flashed image file of Twrp in the fast boot and pushed zip file of TWRP via ADB and installed the Zip which installed TWRP to both boot slots.
    3) adb side loaded re-partition ZIP and installed it then formatted data in wipe
    4) Flash Pixel dust ROM and TPRP ZIp

    Pre-requisites:
    * You are familiar with helping yourself out of awkward situations. You won't defame or complain at the developer of this ROM for your misfortunes.
    * You are familiar with using fastboot
    * Before you are ready to flash this custom ROM, you have to install the latest factory image from October 2021
    * Bootloader unlocked
    * You have created a backup of your ROM & data

First time installing PixelDust ROM, or coming from another ROM:

YOU MUST HAVE an Android FACTORY IMAGE FLASHED TO BOTH SLOTS BEFORE YOUR FIRST TIME INSTALLING ROM.

    1. Follow these instructions: https://developers.google.com/android/images#taimen
    2. Boot the stock ROM.
    3. Don't setup any google account, don't add a screen lock. Just go to Settings > System > Developer options. Enable OEM unlocking.
    4. You need to unlock your bootloader, if not already done.
    2. There are now two options for the installation. Either via TWRP or via Sideload (for advanced users).

    A. Flashing PixelDust ROM via TWRP:

    1. Download the ROM and both TWRP files (img + zip) (for download links see above).
    2. Boot fastboot mode.

      Code:
       fastboot boot twrp.img
    7. If requested, swipe to allow modifications.
    8. Tap "Wipe", then tap "Format data" and type yes to continue.
    9. Copy the rom zip and twrp installer zip to your device.
    10. Tap "Install", select the rom zip, tap "Add more Zips", select the twrp-installer.zip and Swipe Slider to install.
    11. When install is successful tap on "Reboot", then tap on the first list item "System".
