[ROM][Pixel 3][13.0.0_r8] PixelDust Android 13 for blueline [5 October 2022]

Not 100 in this, but i think it's cuz we went up to 13, so it'll take time to get all the goodies back in.
strangest thing when flashing this rom.
Followed directions to a T, I flash phones all the time, but I've never had this happen.
On Android 12 newest update, Unlock BL, TWRP boot, install TWRP zip, Reboot, Wipe Data, adb sideload rom, reboot recovery, install GAPPS and Magisk
Reboot and both slots are still on pixel android 12. Tried it like 4 or 5 times
I did also try the pixeldust recovery method, same result. Only way i got a rom to stick to this phone (realized this wasn't the only rom having the issue) was GSI

Maybe try not using TWRP, and follow the second installation method found in the first post of this thread.
I also used their boot.img custom recovery sideload method, didn't work either
GSI ROM was the only rom I got to stick on the device. Pixel dust recovery/lineageOS recovery and TWRP, none of them worked to flash any zip based rom

13 breathed new life into my phone. On vzw, I had nothing but connectivity issues and glitches on 12 but the phone is rock solid now. Force flashed both slots thru Google, side loaded ROM, installed magisk and even got viper running. Really great job!

Does Gcam works fine like stock Gcam???

why i cant run the pixel dust rom? after i flash the pixeldust it cant boot and back to android stock 12 rom. help?
Couldn't add a sim after setup. Went through setup with sim inserted and so far so good. Any plans to add face unlock?
Sim just randomly disappeared and I can't get it back. Still trying to determine if it is the device or rom.

Check that it flashed to both slots - pixels contain two partitions, A and B. If it only flashed to partition A, it might be booting into partition B, which still has the stock rom. Also make sure to flash the bootloader to both slots -
fastboot flash boot bootloader.img and fastboot flash boot bootloader.img --slot=other
What about the camera? Is it better than the stock gcam or not??? And also battery backup.

S_K_I_P, please stop quoting the entire OP. As far as I know it is frowned upon. As far as the camera is concerned why would you think it's any different than the original? Mine seems to be no different than the stock cam.

Let me first say that as a user of the PixelDust ROM, I appreciate all that you do! Love it!
With the recent $130 Pixel 3 (64GB in "Not Pink") deal from B&H, I picked up a couple to upgrade some family members, and PixelDust would never replace the latest (June 2021) stock ROM from Google. I figured out that it's because of the both slots thing that it wasn't working. Which is fine - you said it needed to be done - but nowhere did I see it written out how to do this.
So I'm writing out the commands I used. For reference, this worked on three brand new Pixel 3 (Verizon versions, but with the bootloader able to be unlocked) that shipped with the November 2018 build of Android 9.
Code:fastboot --slot all flash bootloader bootloader-blueline-XXXX-#.#-#######.img fastboot reboot bootloader [wait for phone to reboot] fastboot --slot all flash radio radio-blueline-XXXX-#####-######-X-#######.img fastboot reboot bootloader [wait for phone to reboot] fastboot --set-active=a fastboot -w update image-blueline-XXXX.######.###.zip [wait as it goes through fastbootd and eventually restarts to Android on its own] [reboot into the bootloader] fastboot --set-active=b fastboot -w update image-blueline-XXXX.######.###.zip [wait as it goes through fastbootd and eventually restarts to Android on its own] [reboot into the bootloader] [flash PixelDust per instructions in the OP]
Essentially, I could flash the bootloader and radio to both slots at the same time, but had to flash the system image to each slot separately.
Maybe this will help someone else!
