I'm running the latest Android 10 build and cannot pass safteynet. I'm running the same ROM (aside from this one being a CAF edition) on my Pixel 2 and can pass everything. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Edit: Note to self for later...
I was able to get SafteyNet to pass by doing the following...
1) Installed Propeditor and changed fingerprint to Pixel 3 XL...rebooted
2) ticked "magisk hide" in magisk settings.

That's it. It works now.

I have installed the last 11 build, last canary Magisk, last MagiskHide Props Config module and passed SaftyNet check. Gpay works fine. Thanks to developer of this Pixeldust 11 build for crosshatch. On the last alpha-build of rom smart charge stoped to work, and have a problem with YouTube app witch force closes on start.

How to pass safteynet?
MagiskHide Props Config module (v5.3.6-v109)has been installed

Edit: passed SaftyNet check
---
Open a terminal and type su (grant permissions when prompted)
Type props
Type 1
Type f
Type the number that matches your devices manufacturer (Google)
Type the number that matches your devices model (Pixel 3 XL)
Type the number that matches your android version (Android 11)
Type y
Type e to exit
---
My English isn’t very good
thanks

Hey bud, could you please point me in the right direction to find the boot.img for the latest 11 build? I would greatly appreciate it!

I noticed that the last 2 builds have the "user" suffix. I believe you cant flash a user build over another type of build (i.e. Engineering build), so you have to run the command "fastboot erase userdata", boot into recovery, factory reset as well and apply the adb update. I believe it has to do with the different build signatures

Thats what worked for me, but my explaination could be completely off. YMMV

Only issue that I have in some builds is the Safetynet check. On the previous build I succeeded to pass the Safetynet check with Magisk module. On the latest build (13 December) )this method failed for me.

Hello. I have a Pixel 3 and now my wife has a Pixel 3 XL. I was hoping the rooting process would be similar to what is presented for Pixel 3, but I don't see a "Magisk patched boot image" like there is in the thread for that phone. I saw a link in this thread to a rather complicated looking process that involves downloading a specific "canary" version of magisk manager, custom kernels ... quite the involved looking process. These instructions mention TWRP a lot, seem outdated and I wonder if they even apply to this ROM.

Is there not a patched boot image available that I can use for this phone?

EDIT: Oh ... magisk_patched.img from the crosshatch folder on the pixeldust sourceforge page? Please correct me if I am wrong.

PixelDust ROM is an Android 10 ROM especially built for Google Pixel and Nexus devices.

We rebased the project to Code Aurora Sources, more commonly known as CAF. CAF ROMs are therefore generally considered to be more optimized for Qualcomm’s Snapdragon SoCs than AOSP ROMs (in performance, RAM management, battery, etc.). We strive to keep the PixelDust Experience as close as possible to Android as Google intended. We add a decent selection of the coolest custom ROM features that would've been missed if they hadn't been included.
The PixelDust Crew would highly appreciate if you would take a little of your time and leave your valuable feedback, your honest opinion or just say hello. If you should encounter a bug, or some kind of glitch that seems to be abnormal and you are pretty sure that it is related to the ROM (and not related to any special apps or mods you flashed on top), then please give as many details as possible.

Special shoutouts to Roger.T for his amazingly designed wallpapers, logos and the best bootanimation I ever had on my Pixel!!! If you like our work, please consider to buy Roger the first beer, and a few more for the other team members and spezi77. Cheers!

BTW, please consider to take a logcat, because you know that:

    DespairFactor said:
If you submit bug reports without a log, you may be prosecuted...or executed.

    Disclaimer:
If your device fails to comply with your standards of what you consider functioning, I am not liable. This is provided free of charge and does not come with a warranty. Although, if you provide a log, I can provide some sort of assurance that I will look into your issue.

    Pre-requisites:
    * You are familiar with helping yourself out of awkward situations. You won't defame or complain at the developer of this ROM for your misfortunes.
    * You are familiar with using fastboot
    * Before you are ready to flash this custom ROM, you have to install the latest factory image
    * Bootloader unlocked
    * You have created a backup of your ROM & data

First time installing PixelDust ROM, or coming from another ROM:

YOU MUST HAVE RECENT FACTORY IMAGE FLASHED TO BOTH SLOTS BEFORE YOUR FIRST TIME INSTALLING ROM.

    1. Flashing stock ROM:
    1. Follow these instructions: https://developers.google.com/android/images#crosshatch

    2. Flashing PixelDust ROM:
    1. Download the ROM and boot image
    2. Flash the boot image (this allows stock recovery to flash unsigned rom zip since we dont have TWRP)
      Code:
      fastboot flash boot boot.img
    3. Wipe userdata (required for first PixelDust/Android 10 install)
      Code:
      fastboot erase userdata
    4. Reboot into fastbootd
      Code:
      fastboot reboot fastboot
    5. Use volume keys and power button to select "Enter Recovery"
    6. Select "Apply Update from ADB"
    7. Sideload the ROM zip
      Code:
      adb sideload pixeldust_crosshatch-ota-retrofit-xxx.zip
    8. Reboot

    Dirty flashing PixelDust ROM:
Just skip the step "Wipe userdata"

Thank you for your work! Great rom, but the back gesture usually don't do anything. And when I use icon packs their shape on the main screen is always the same and can't be change.

    1. Back gesture
Pls check whether you have enabled the option "Accidental touch". This could interfere with the back gesture.

    2. Icon pack
It is likely that the icon pack has a problem or isn't compatible with Android 10. I have installed this pack and it works like a charm: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.arandompackage.flatconsblack
