there are two partitions on the Google Pixel phones... Slot A and Slot B. i think Google did it to help with updating devices... but not really sure.
But when I find my phone being weird and especially in your case not working right... i factory reset both slots
    - connect phone while in bootloader
    - flash the stock google rom (flash-all.bat)
    - when flash-all.bat script is finished running, it'll reboot..
    - once it boots, turn off the phone and boot it to bootloader, and send the command fastboot --set-active=a or fastboot --set-active=b depending which slot you're on...
    - then reboot to bootloader and flash-all.bat script again
    - then it'll reboot... should boot properly

i'm not really sure what's' going on, i'm kind of a hands on person. all i can think is to make sure your platform-tools and Google driver and whatnot that Android Studio installs is updated.
then try to flash-all.bat script Google stock rom on your phone in bootloader

Hi there love the ROM. It is now my daily driver. One issue I have though, and I only noticed this because I went into my power amp settings to check on my audio output and I noticed that there is no HD audio with a higher bit rate setting. Previously on earlier versions of the ROM as well as other ROMs and Android 10 I've noticed that the capabilities for HD audio were there and very noticeable. But now there is no HD audio am I doing something wrong? Having noticed this this would be a real deal breaker for me and I would be resorting to another ROM simply because of this. Is there a fix? Thanks

I just loaded the ROM and everything worked well! The only thing disappointing is that as soon as I got in I swiped down and the notification area was laggy. I read the comments before loading so I knew the issue was fixed and, sure enough, after checking the sourceforge page, the download link on the OP doesn't point to the latest patch. Other than that everything is good!

    Hey,

Just set this ROM this past week, and so far really enjoying it! Quick, clean, and a nice set of custom features. Thanks!

I was just wondering if the following is a known thing or I'm just doing something wrong?

In the Sound settings, I tried to 'unlink' ring & Notification volumes.

I've toggled it off, but it doesn't appear to have unlinked the volumes.
I did reboot after changing the setting. No change. Any idea how I might unlink the two volumes or is this a flaw (a minor one)?

As always, any/all help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks,

    A (linked) Bug 😎

I've been running this ROM smoothly for about a week now after acquiring a new (to me) Pixel 3 XL. Everything has been great until just now when I tried to install/flash the NFC_Screen_Off module in Magisk. It ultimately ended in an error and failed the install. This post probably belongs in the module's thread, but I wanted to check here first to see if there might be any obvious compatibility issues with A11/crosshatch/root.

    Update 5/6/2021:

I fixed it myself (I think) by just reflashing the PixelDusk .img file. I did try and flash both slots which I understand is the better way to go.

I was able to install Magisk (thus rooting the device) without much effort (or issues). Not sure why it happened in the first place, but here's hoping it doesn't happen again.

    A (relieved) Bug
    ____________________________________________________________
So an Update of sorts (not really).

I don't know if this is a PixelDusk A11 specific issue or not but I thought I would start here.

I've noticed that when I reboot the phone the OS doesn't load and instead I get a notice that the OS files might be corrupt.

I get the option to 'try again' or 'Factory Reset'. After trying selecting 'Try Again' multiple (but never the same number of) times, the OS will boot appropriately.

One time I accidentally selected 'Factory Reset' but the phone did nothing, other than flash an image of the android character on its back (the 'something is missing' graphic) and then restart.

Does anyone have any thoughts/ideas/suggestions on the best next steps I should take?

    Thanks,

    A (no-reboot-if-I-can-help-it) Bug ;)

Are OTA Updates unrealistic as a feature request without TWRP?
Currently it is unrealistic. We have implemented an OTA, but it is not working on Pixel 3 and 4.

      @Face_Plant & @spezi77

So as I updated my original post yesterday, this issue has started happening again.

I am lucky that eventually, the OS kicks in after some random number of reboots. But still a bit concerning

I've extracted my Logcat file and attached it in hopes that there is something contained therein that helps figure this out.

      Thanks in advance,

PixelDust ROM is an Android 11 ROM especially built for the current Google Pixel devices and aimed for stability at its core with themes and customizations.

Our philosophy is to offer all the features known from the Google Pixel Factory Images paired with a useful selection of the coolest custom ROM features.

Our project is based off directly from AOSP. We attach great importance to aesthetics, themeability and personalization. For this we have integrated a great selection of space wallpapers and a special theme app (many thanks to Dirty Unicorns for their code base) in the settings of the Android OS.

The PixelDust Crew would highly appreciate if you would take a little of your time and leave your valuable feedback, your honest opinion or just say hello. If you should encounter a bug, or some kind of glitch that seems to be abnormal and you are pretty sure that it is related to the ROM (and not related to any special apps or mods you flashed on top), then please give as many details as possible.

Special shoutouts to Roger.T for his amazingly designed wallpapers, logos and the best bootanimation I ever had on my Pixel!!! If you like our work, please consider to buy Roger the first beer, and a few more for the other team members and spezi77. Cheers!

      Disclaimer:
If your device fails to comply with your standards of what you consider functioning, I am not liable. This is provided free of charge and does not come with a warranty. Although, if you provide a log, I can provide some sort of assurance that I will look into your issue.
