I just went back and rebooted system but it just takes me back to the recovery with error E:unable to start Netlinkmanger

Trying to get back to bootloader to enter command...fastboot --set-active=a or fastboot --set-active=b but can't seem to get back into it...


I just held power + volume down, got back to the orange recovery and reboot system and it just loads up regular android firmware and didn't install the ROM :-S

Had this issue, got the update installed try this:
After unable to start netlink, use power button to reboot to recovery or fastboot, then fastboot reboot bootloader, and set partition.

Okay it works.

You should specify in the original post to ignore the specific error that you see so people don't think their error is wrong.

I shut off phone booted into fast boot by using power + volume down then ran the B command and it boots into the custom rom now

Hey guys,

I was using my phone with the ROM perfectly for few days. My phone overheated and it auto shut down.

Now when I boot up my phone I Just get the lock screen and the screen flashes to black every 1 second, then the lock sceen again. I rebooted my phone loads of times but still does it. I don't really want to do a factory reset...is there anything else I can try or is there physical damage?! :-0

Try to enable airplane mode and then disable the motion sense app with TiBu.

-During the boot animation the screen doesn't flash it shows the logo animation fine. Suggests the physical panel is working okay? @fKm I can't even use the phone, like every half second its black, then shows lock screen, then black.

I didnt run into this issue, im on the late July CAF build and Im running kirisakura kernel, i experience some stutters on my lawnchair launcher app but nothing really note worthy

Lately doing alot of driving so GPS and screen on time has increased but still running decent here

If its running that's good, personally Id do a factory image install and then switch to custom rom

Sadly my phone randomly crashed again whilst Facebook, it was unusuable so I rebooted and got stuck on boot logo. I then rebooted a 2nd time but got the flashing black issue on the lock screen again. Just dirty flashed July boot image and rom and got error:

E1001: Failed to Updated System Image
E: Error in /sideload/package.zip (status 7)

Rebooted and it seems to have fixed my original issue. I think I will try a Unicorn's ROM sorry, not having much luck with this one.

found a few issues on CAF, whatsapp microphone and speaker were not working, calls were good. after some time, all apps would force close, usually during sleep, but occasionally while using, no message would pop up. Phone was also a bit hot but nothing crazy.

Im in another country right now and had to switch to standard July 14 release. didn't have a chance to get logcat needed whatsapp urgently.

lastly experimenting with microg now, after a few hiccups, working great, even Google Maps is up and running.

I've been using this ROM about a month and I am pretty happy with it, but have had two major issues. One is that location will intermittently work on it, for example navigation via Maps only works sometimes and requires restarting the app or phone to fix it, and the McDonalds app (and others) is unable to pull my location at all for ordering or deals. The second issue is camera related, any camera app that seems to use the video recording API directly will not record any video. All of the common camera apps (AOSP, Pixel Camera, Open Camera, etc) will take photos fine but when I try to record video it records 1 second and fails to save it. Snapchat, FB messenger, and other apps that use the still camera API all work fine. Anyone have any troubleshooting ideas?

Did everything exactly as said, ignored the error... phone constantly only boots to recovery. have to hard reset power to bootloader, then hit start and device boots.

can confirm on boot, device does not have rom on it
