Wish I had some sort of insight to that but I use OnePlus Launcher by MrSluffy & GodLeaveMe.

Haven't looked back since then at any other launchers. You could maybe delete the default launcher from the system completely, or make a module to do so(maybe even use it to just throw Nova in as a system app).
I tried deleting the default pixeldust launcher once and literally broke everything until somehow it reinstalled itself and everything worked fine. Is there a way that I could make ruthless launcher take the place of the default launcher maybe?

If setting it to the default app for launcher doesnt resolve it, then IDK. Thats how it reacts for me with NOVA, I set it to the default and leave pixel launcher in the background (not launched). This leaves the recents and all stock functionality intact (pixel launcher) but uses NOVA as the default.

My best guess is that deleting is broke because PD Launcher controlled your recents UI. You could install a module to install the normal Pixel Launcher, or if you're up for it, you could install the OnePlus Launcher as well to replace your stock recents and use the launcher of your choice.

OnePlus Launcher: https://www.pling.com/p/1451515/sta...&file_type=application/zip&file_size=43448873

On another note, Mr Sluffy is currently working on a modded Pixel Launcher. You can check out the teasers here: https://t.me/mrsluffy_releases

The user could also dirty flash the same ROM (as an update) to fully reset the PD launcher and needed framework (whatever was possibly damaged with the deletion). This should solve the launcher/recents issues and what I'd try next as it's less intrusive and shouldn't damage any personal data (texts, user apps/configs/ETC). It will simply replace and restore what was removed by treating it as nothing more than an in place, dirty flashed update.

Just install the one plus launcher like a normal app? I didn't see any extra instructions. Just verifying.

Alright, I installed the OnePlus launcher and I like this recents screen a lot better. Is it safe to remove pixeldust launcher now? Have you noticed any improvements to performance and battery life maybe or is it negligible?

Also, I have another weird issue where my phone will reboot by itself one time after I reboot it manually. It doesn't happen everytime either, but a lot of the times. Anybody know what that could be?

PD Launcher might be temporarily removed by the OnePlus Launcher, otherwise you could just disable it or leave it to the side.

As for the reboot issue, it could be something with your setup. Try disabling all your Magisk modules or specific ones and reboot to see if it still happens.

I only think I'm using 2 magisk modules for edexposed but I will try disabling them and reporting back.

After switching the default launcher back to pd launcher and then back to ruthless launcher, I didn't get pd launcher popping up it's home screen for like 2 or 3 days so I think there was just some lag from me switching launchers a lot trying them out. Still hasn't happened since I added oneui launcher and I really enjoy it with the oneui. I think my battery life has improved very slightly and my phone feels slightly snappier. Do we know if oneui or pd launcher consumes less ram?

Squeez to assist not works for me.
    Otherwise great rom
Care to elaborate or share logs? Without the info needed, its difficult to assist.

I have an error in the ADB SIDELOAD PART, and i cant install the ROM.
Pixel 4XL from Best Buy ( From Google ), UNLOCKED, bootloader unlocked

ADB SIDELOAD IS STUCK ON 47% WITH THE ERROR:
    adb sideload PixelDust-Eleven-aosp-coral-user-20210616-0759.zip
serving: 'PixelDust-Eleven-aosp-coral-user-20210616-0759.zip' (~47%) adb: failed to read command: No error

In my Pixel im getting this error:
E: Update package is older than the current build, expected a build newer than timestap 1627025144 but package hastimestap 1623822927 and downgrade not allowed.

Install from ADB completed with status 1.
    Installation abortd

And yes, i tried to do a local Factory Flashwith June Image with FlashAll.bat file on my pc. I do first flash on A SLOT and then in B SLOT.
But i still having this problem.

I read the instructions, first flash boot, then wipe data, and then ADB sideload

The error doesn't matter, ROM was flashed successful.

And i tried this and still not working, getting same error on ADB SIDELOAD
All, please do not troubleshoot or address the 47% issue, this is well known and explained everywhere. This is not a ROM, KERNEL, or even an Android issue, but an ADB failing to read through the transfer speed and the overall process status so it cant return valid information (thus failed to read error with no error). I believe it comes down to Google's firmware (author of ADB) using a faster 2X (or 2.1X) transfer speed to install than ROMs use (single 1X transfer). This causes the process to fail to read the overall status, thus errors on 47% with "NO ERROR" since it cant determine the correct status. Again, this is not an error, this is well known as a usual install bug.

The only time you need to concern is if it didn't boot. If it didn't boot, then you have another issue, but there is no need, no purpose, nor worth wasting time/effort to explain this or troubleshoot this as its not an issue unless you cant boot. Otherwise it installed normally and this is well known everywhere for the PX4/4XL and ABD.

Here is the LOS verbiage showing this as well, so you can ignore it, unless you cant boot. I am only showing LOS because its so well known, most users just trust their word, so this is the only reason I note it. Remember, its only an issue if you cant boot, then you know something else is wrong, but having the ADB SIDELOAD stop at 47% with "no error" is normal. Any troubleshooting is a waste of time on everyone's part so this is why I am suggesting we all ignore this type of question in the future (both users, devs, and helpers):

All of that being said, if you cannot boot, then its an issue, and tell us what the status is (or error), or logcat, or something to help us help you, otherwise there is nothing further to do.

Yup I saw that and noted the next steps. You need to redo the device with wipe left intact through a full factory firmware (on both slots) with taking screenshots throughout the factory firmware process end to end plus the ROM install as well so I can see what's going on. Once I see what's going on, I can help resolve it but it won't work if you take shortcuts or are not willing to go through the steps and take pictures along the way.

Let me know if you are going to do the work with me and I'll assist, otherwise if not, them I'll move on so let me know.
Ok, I will do the work with you.
Later I will install again factory image and will take screenshots.

PixelDust ROM is an Android 11 ROM especially built for the current Google Pixel devices and aimed for stability at its core with themes and customizations.

Our philosophy is to offer all the features known from the Google Pixel Factory Images paired with a useful selection of the coolest custom ROM features.

Our project is based off directly from AOSP. We attach great importance to aesthetics, themeability and personalization. For this we have integrated a great selection of space wallpapers and a special theme app (many thanks to Dirty Unicorns for their code base) in the settings of the Android OS.

The PixelDust Crew would highly appreciate if you would take a little of your time and leave your valuable feedback, your honest opinion or just say hello. If you should encounter a bug, or some kind of glitch that seems to be abnormal and you are pretty sure that it is related to the ROM (and not related to any special apps or mods you flashed on top), then please give as many details as possible.

Special shoutouts to Roger.T for his amazingly designed wallpapers, logos and the best bootanimation I ever had on my Pixel!!! If you like our work, please consider to buy Roger the first beer, and a few more for the other team members and spezi77. Cheers!

    * You are familiar with using fastboot

First time installing PixelDust ROM, or coming from another ROM:

YOU MUST HAVE JUNE FACTORY IMAGE!

    2. Flashing PixelDust ROM:
      • Download the ROM and boot image
      • Flash the boot image (this allows stock recovery to flash unsigned rom zip since we dont have TWRP):
        Code:
        fastboot flash boot boot.img
      • Wipe userdata (required for first PixelDust/Android 11 install):
        Code:

        Code:
        fastboot reboot fastboot

      • Sideload the ROM zip:
        Code:
        adb sideload PixelDust-Eleven-aosp-coral-***.zip
      • Reboot
    Dirty flashing PixelDust ROM:

Just skip the step "Wipe userdata"

I recompiled with the latest blobs and stuff and flashed it on my coral. Zero issues.
    I pushed a new build.

If you have any problems atleast try a clean flash after flashing stock before. That worked flawless for me.
