I do not use Geico or HSBC, but I downloaded their latest apps from the Play store to test for you all. Both opened without any issues and made it to the login screen. Not sure what issues you ran into.

The only apps I had issues with are due to magisk (not proton) and are Chase and Gpay, but magisk hide fixed them.

I'm on Proton 12.3.1, rooted with Magisk, but did not hide either app.

Out of my 10 years of rooting experience starting with the Samsung Galaxy S3, this ROM with the web installer has been the easiest rom to install in my entire life. Great work! I have a few small recomendations to make your ROM even better. With the web installer, at the end there is an option to make a donation which is nice but one thing that I would include is a list of features to give an idea of what the user is getting. So for an example it should say something like "Congratulations! Your Google Pixel 5 is now running ProtonAOSP 12.4.0. here is a list of some of the benefits and features of your newly downloaded ProtonAOSP ROM

Feature #1
Feature #2
Feature #3
etc...."

Great Rom, using it as my daily driver.
Some Information for you guys
now, 2022/07:
Running fine on latest Update, installed via Web Installer (which is great!)
with Magisk the latest Version (25.1) and latest Proton Kernel.
Safetynet is fine, Banking App is working great with Zygisk (every google app + banking app), force Zygisk, rename Magisk and Airfrozen (freeze Magisk).

Something to fix here on XDA Thread: Mainpost (Post 1 from this thread) shows still Android 11, but we're on Android 12.

Something that would be cool: Magisk, vbmeta disable and Proton Kernel via Web Installer.

And one question: Any Chance that Proton AOSP is coming on Android 12L ?

FYI, what you described is on the website, just not in the installer completion window.

One more thing: does the compass work for you guys in Maps? At my phone I only had an orientation towards North then. (Fortunately also working as desired in LOS.)
Works fine for me. Never seen that issue before

    ProtonAOSP
    Android 11 ROM

ProtonAOSP is a minimal Android fork (custom ROM) focused on UI/UX and performance, with a touch of privacy.

Usage with my Proton Kernel is recommended to get the most out of your phone. The ROM does not include Proton Kernel, so you will need to flash it yourself. The ROM will still work with other kernels, but you will not get the benefits of Proton Kernel.

    Installation
This ROM is currently distributed as factory images, similar to stock. Flash it the same way you would flash stock factory images. Don't forget to wipe all data using "fastboot -w" before booting the ROM.

Firmware is included, so there is no specific requirement for which version of the stock ROM you are coming from.

You can also use the quick & easy web installer, which allows you to install and update the ROM from any computer or phone without using the command line. The installer works entirely within your web browser and completes in as little as 4 minutes, depending on the speed of your internet connection. Consider using the web installer instead of installing manually.

Builds with and without minimal Google services (gapps) included are provided for convenience.

Using the quick and easy web installer is recommended unless you have a specific reason to download and install the ROM manually.

A new ROM with the January security update and SafetyNet passing out-of-the-box will be released within a few days. The SafetyNet failures are caused by new updates released by Google yesterday. My new Universal SafetyNet Fix Magisk module solves the problem for now: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/magisk-module-universal-safetynet-fix-1-1-0.4217823/
