[ROM] Pixel Experience 10.0 Plus [UNOFFICIAL] [STOCK BASED] (Update - September 2020)

This is Pixel Experience 10.0 Plus - UNOFFICIAL ROM for XZ1 Compact.



It is Stock based ROM.

This is Unofficial ROM and I am not the developer of Official ROM.​

ROM Bugs:

• Wi-Fi sometimes normal sometimes slow Fixed in April Update
• Google Assistant implementation
• Google app running in background for long time
• Hotspot may get buggy sometimes Fixed in April V2
• VoLTE
• Rest you guys find

What's working :

• Camera
• Speakers are not amazing but acceptable
• NFC
• LTE / 4G
• Screen mirroring
• Safety Net { cts profile and basic integrity } shows success
• Hotspot working over Wi-Fi and Cellular both
• USB Tethering working over Wi-Fi and Cellular network
• GPS

Other tips (Kinda FAQs) :

• If your camera crash.. overnight charge will fix it.. otherwise follow this instructions for quick fix Fixed in May
• Battery should work great after first cycle for charge
• Overall the ROM is stable as hell.. as per tested
• This ROM will supported as long as the official one is out of beta. After that I choose as long as I want
• To get grid option in styles & wallpaper app, use lawnchair-q-pre-release
• For better experience, it is recommended to come from stock.
• Netflix will work.. just download the apk from apkmirror and install it.. Fixed in April Update
• Google Pay works after magisk hide with safety patch module installed. Safety net fixed in April Update
• Google Camera Go .. make sure you have Gallery Go installed.. ( Bug portrait mode and translate mode clicks 90° tilted pic)

Installation

Download Link : PE October || PE November

TWRP Link : Android 10 TWRP by @modpunk

Steps :

1. Remove your screen lock (set it to swipe up or none) and remove all your fingerprints registered.
2. Download the zip above and extract the boot, system and vendor images
3. Make sure you have Android 10 TWRP as mentioned above with link
   
4. Go to recovery > wipe and wipe system, cache and data nothing else.
5. Then flash the ROM zip file.
   
6. Reboot and profit !!

  Important Safetynet update:
  . Safetynet has now got a bit stronger. Allow me to elaborate...
  . In the april versions of this PE, magisk was not required to pass safetynet (cts and basic integrity), but now with May version
  it is required.
  . From the magisk app, under settings, make sure "Magisk Hide" switch is enabled (althought it is enabled by default, but still, just make sure), because now, that "Magisk Hide" should be enabled in-order to pass safetynet (cts and basic integrity).
  
  - Kernel updated to 4.4.223 { HU }
  WARNING....
  Please Backup before updating.
  If you experience any weird glitches, kindly clean flash by the steps refreshed for May above, as the ROM developers have re-base some stuffs.

  - Added use of dedicated camera button { MU }
  - Enabled vulkan for efficient and faster UI rendering { MU }
  - Reduced the speed of blinking of notification LED { MU }

Even if I remove my security password or pattern and set it to none or swipe my device is still encrypted and I can't move my files to the storage?

Edit: Fixed it, used an external MicroSD to install the files, now it's working perfectly fine, thank you for making this rom!

Works excellent.

Coming from phh-treble AOSP 9.0.
I just installed TWRP.
Wiped System,cache and data in TWRP and installed the three files(boot.img, system.img and vendor.img).

A few minutes later the setup appeared and I was able to setup the system.

Oops.. sorry mate. I am not from India.. it should work by default. But I cannot guarantee that volte will work.. why don't you try it ?..

Because I don't have Indian sim so yeah... ?

I'll try in few weeks. Due to Corona pandemic I'm working from home and need to be available on phone at all times. Hence VoLTE is a must as my network provider JIO operates in only 4G spectrum.

Magisk is not required in all cases.. as there is Google play system update once you complete the setup..

However.. you may want to use magisk hide if some app specifically request for root

This Google play system update does something in your vendor that makes sure that device, although with custom rom, is still authentic ?

Official one is being built by the other developer.. he said it will soon be under beta testing.. till then have this rom ??

Firsty.. flash Android 10 twrp from the given link.. then follow the steps next to it.. all the steps are written there..
