[ROM] Pixel Experience 10.0 Plus [UNOFFICIAL] [STOCK BASED] (Update - September 2020)

Hi, sorry I have a couple of questions regarding this ROM.

(1) XZ1C internal is very small. I heard that since Marshmallow, there is an option to "flash as internal" for microSD. Is this option avaible in this ROM? I have a 128GB microSD which I'm planning to use.

(2) I need to use mbanking apps, including Google Pay. I heard that rooting will disable this capability because SafetyNet test will not be passed. However, I've read that this ROM passed the SafetyNet test, is that mean I can use Google Pay/mbanking apps?

1) Although this ROM as the option (if SD card formatted clean and correctly), It is not recommended to use SD card as internal storage. If want to use it as internal storage, use it at your own risk.

(2) Sorry, I reword my question badly. My question is, is passing SafetyCheck (as claimed in the first post) is enough to use Google Pay and other mobile banking apps?

2) Yes safety net is enough for GPay and mobile banking. However, if and only if you install magisk, you should hide the app in magisk for root access.

It comes with 2 versions:
Gapps - where it has gapps like PE has
non-gapps: where it is like lineage, vanilla build, need to manually flash gapps

can you perhaps elaborate the main differences so the users can better decide? I used this PE till yesterday (needed to try lineage 18.1 as its android 11) but am really uncertain about the main differences as the both have so much in common.

Personal differences:
- Better battery life and performane

Other differences:
- Pixel like experience but with UI customization
- And no other difference other than branding literally :/

If willing to try havoc, I may suggest to wait until havoc 4.2 comes out

Meh, they are basicly the same thing... In my opinion, you are better doing only Havoc and not having to worry about maintain two different (or not) ROMs, this way you can focus more on Havoc bugs/features and improve it faster and also have more free time for yourself!

Obviously it's only my opinion, do what you feel happy to do!

Thanks for this summary and your efforts! I think with 4.2 I will take a shoot (the lack of GPS in lineage sucks)

Hi, works in this rom Lift to wake feature? I have set up a face unlock, but it just makes sense only with this functionality. It worked well on Havoc, but I can't even find its setting here. Thanks for the help.

Hello, i'm facing some trouble here.
1. before flashing i'm already set the security to none, but after flashing, and i skip phone setup, and when i'm gonna activate developer option to enable usb debugging, it requires PIN. I'm really stuck here
2. Phone detect my provider name but can't get signal or anything

If it's the one I'm thinking of, PE Official is a GSI but this ROM is an actual ROM built for the xz1c

A GSI is a Generic System Image. There's a lot of technical stuff that I don't understand but any device running android 8.1 or higher can use a GSI based off of Project Treble(I might have some specifics wrong).

A GSI, as I meant it, is not built for a specific device but will fit several within it's image(like arm64 a only or arm64 A/B).
Since it's not specific to a device, some functionality will be missing, like the camera button for example. This PE Unofficial was made for the xz1c and so device-specific features are taken into account.

Again, that's how I understand it but anyone can please correct me if needed.

It seems the volte works fine on my xz1c, i use china mobile sim card, and i switched modem to "amss_fsg_lilac_china_mobile_cn_ims_tar.mbn", then i made a call and i still connected to the internet at the same time.

BTW i would like to know if there is a way to double tap to wake the phone? my old pixel2 have this option in system gesture settings.

There were some features that did not work well in my environment.

#Environment
Device is SO-02K
SIM is Rakuten SIM
Country is Japan
OS is PE November

#NFC is not working.
It turns off right after I turn it on.

#VoLTE is "amss_fsg_lilac_tar.mbn" message
I was able to communicate by selecting LTE only from *#*#4636#*#*.

I had the same problem with Havoc-OS 4.6.
NFC is currently not implemented in Havoc-OS, so it is excluded.
