Have you tried putting it into airplane mode, turning on WiFi, and then making a call to force a wifi call? Perhaps you're getting crappy (but some) cellular signal and it's keeping your phone from thinking it should handle the calls through wifi. I don't know how to default to wifi calls when wifi is available but that would be great as I get barely adequate cell service in my home. I suspect there's a way to automate it in Tasker that would blow my mind, I just haven't looked into it.

I dunno, I have a signal and mine defaults to WiFi calling when I get home. I mean I have it set to preferred but that is the default so I am assuming the normal functionality just isn't working for you guys.

My Pixel XL hard bricked itself, as far as I can tell, on Saturday. Transferred some files to flash drive and set my phone down. Picked it up a few hours a later and it was icy. No button combos seem to work, doesn't seem to charge (doesn't get warm when plugged in). My computer recognizes that something is plugged in, but shows nothing in Device Manager. ADB and Fastboot don't recognize it. Seems to be no fix, only RMA. Only posting because I had wondered if I had somehow gotten a stock update that failed, especially now seeing all the recent update notification posts. I think I had Auto System Update disabled...

Because of the partition system, if all things are working as they should, a failed update would be unable to boot and the device would return to the still functioning slot.

That seemed to trigger Wifi calling. Just unfortunate that I have to put in Airplane, then enable Wifi. But, most of the time around Wifi anyways, so could just leave it in airplane mode and get 7 day battery life.

Follow the thread this guy references. I appear to reliably call via WiFi, at least at home.

Arggg... Everything with my phone works like a charm EXCEPT wifi calling. I've never had a wifi calling issue with PN before the July build. Now, Enhanced Calling is enabled, but when I try to toggle Wifi Calling to on, I get an message stating that emergency address has stopped working. I haven't tried the ADB fix as outlined earlier, but I also don't have that exact problem. Any ideas anybody? Thanks!

I'm thinking that, since my Pixel XL is a Google purchased one, that when Verizon activated my S8, my Pixel XL isn't being recognized properly by Verizon's system. I'll try the posted fix to try to force it if that doesn't work.

So I was 99% done setting up ROM, flashed SU and PN, and when I boot into phone I get the 'can't check for corrupt data' error, and I'm not rooted. Anyone have a guess on why I don't have root? It's saying the rom doesn't match the NHJ47D image when I boot up too, will that kill my root access? Not sure why it's saying that either.

The can't check for corrupt data is because your bootloader is unlocked. That has nothing to do with root.

The other error and not being rooted will probably be fixed by flashing the vendor image and SU again. It sounds like those were both flashed while you were on the wrong slot.

The slot thing has been explained much better than I could ever do several times, probably even in the last couple of pages.

I suggest you read and learn before rooting and flashing a custom rom.

can't check for corrupt data' error means you have a unlocked bl and has nothing to do with your rom being rooted or not.

Vendor image error means you have to flash the vendor image after the initial bootup.

Kinda know how this goes, Just continuing to flash the correct vendor image only to get warnings that I'm on the wrong one. Despite factory resetting and doing the whole thing over. I'm flashing A and B, with NJH47D_vendor.img, and it continues to tell me every boot that I need the NJH47D vendor image.. :|

Edit: Fix for anyone having trouble :
Use the twrp rc1 img, don't use rc2 or alphas. Don't flash recovery, just fastboot boot twrp.img, don't flash the twrp zip either. Flash your vendor img from INSIDE twrp, NOT from flashboot. Also make sure you log into apps like snapchat BEFORE you flash SuperSU or you'll get locked out because many apps block rooted users. After flashing SuperSU, your phone will boot cycle several times, DON'T TOUCH IT. It will boot on its own in 5-15 minutes. Download a root checker app once you get into your system. If rooted, go ahead and jump into the SuperSU app and give it whatever permissions it wants. If you ever need to boot into twrp, do it through the fastboot boot twrp.img command until someone puts out more info or a fix.

--

Spent several hours today digging through vague posts and compiling information. Tag me if anyone is having issues, there's a lot of problems I went through today and found fixes for that I don't have time to type out at the moment.

Wow. Where to even begin with this......?
Why would you factory reset because the vendor.img won't flash?
I would absolutely recommend rc2 for flashing anything. rc1 is just to BOOT to. Once you're booted, flash rc2.
If you tried magisk, you can 'magisk hide' from apps like SnapChat, or whatever is stingy about root.

On the latest build with clean flash.

I'm getting a lot of dropped texts in places don't normally. Funny thing is they go through some times. I'm on Verizon, should I flash a different radio? I motive my LTE drops and takes some time to turn back on.

figured id jump in and let you guys know i am back, its been a pretty rough half a year but i have finally got some time to start tinkering again im sure some of you have noticed some movement on github, i seem to have a good base going and now i am just working on device specific things :highfive::good: to start i will only be supporting the phones i own Angler, Pixel/XL, and Pixel 2 XL :victory: hopefully once i get these devices stable i can put out a build, granted the first build will most likely be barebones it will however have the stability you all have come to love from Pure
    74
    Installation Instructions:
    1. make sure you are on the latest bootloader, radio, vendor image
    2. install twrp via the instructions in twrp forum
    3. wipe data factory reset
    4. flash rom
    5. flash twrp zip again as the rom overwrites twrp (stupid pixel lol)
    6. if you desire boot into the os, then reboot into recovery and flash supersu

Note: i personally havent flashed supersu yet on the pixel so if you dont know ask and im sure one of the helpful members will help guide you through it!!
Note2: until we figure out how to flash zips alongside the rom zip gapps are included for the time being..

Okay guys the time is here, finally 7.1.2 for purenexus officially released!!!

    a couple things to note:
*the rom is now signed with private keys starting with 7.1.2 this is good for security purposes, but you will be required to clean flash this build, going forward you can dirty flash as long as it is an official release
*this release mostly is focused on stability and getting all the features from 7.1.1 into 7.1.2 without issues, next release will be geared towards going over the feature request section of the g+ community
*with 7.1.2 google updated the radio and boot loader i suggest fast-booting those as well

ok, Lets get to the goodies!!
