I reccomend you to do that, afterall you guyz are not noob, specially you "the merger man" :D
haha cool seems I got a new nickname now :D

the merger man is back :p :D I took the latest galaxy s2 aokp build I found and the 28/07 build of cm10 by quarx as base ;) in addition to that I placed the framework-res.apk of your port in my framework folder ;) currently I'm downloading aokp-gapps and then testing ;) more details soon :)

EDIT:
tested and my defy looped the boot :p
--> next try simply merging brajesh.sharma87's port with 28/07 as base ;)

navigation bar would be nice , is this really 28/07 base build - because systemo info shows in compilation vesrsion 26/07/2012.quarx ? And were is screenshot option ?
and the worst thing - I have problems with root rights ?

Screenshot option is not yet merged in AOKP settings.
SuperSU included in the ROM doesn't work, solution: just download superuser by chainsdd from market and update binary. You can then remove the previous SuperSU.

nice work :D , but technically button backlight should be working on quarx 28/07 build , but its not working on this port :D>?

For button backlight to work, framework-res.apk needs to be edited. Will give u a update.zip in the evening to test.

@Everybody: Since all of you guyz are now familiar with this porting thing, you can make your own port and post in this thread, kanpurite will add the link of your post in the 2nd post. That will make my life easy, and I can upload a build weekly. :D

Take a CM9 nightly if you want less bugs.

or If you want JB then, This

At the moment, I wudn't suggest you to test experimental builds as your friend doesn't seem to be familiar with flashing process.

Edit:
Forum thread CM10
Forum thread CM9

@brajesh.sharma87
Is there any chance to port to this build following features:
- call record,
- redial of busy number,
- notepad during call?

-------------
@freakness51
I would suggest to give a try to Wiui stable version 2.5.27 - here.

sm1 trying with latest CM9 + latest AOKP ???

that will be one of the most stable and good looking rom's for defy :D
doesn't boot even with original rom "libandroid_runtime.so" :(
I tried with 27/06 epsy's ics and milestone 6 of nexus S, didn't try with later version of ICS but that should not make any difference.

Thats the reason Kayant is working on build from source.

@Pottkopp: If your ROM doesn't boot with the normal process, try copying the "libandroid_runtime.so" from original aokp build, If it still doesn't boot there are very less chances for the rom to boot. Always be ready to see the logs through ADB, I reccomend qtADB. :)

I feel very happy that so many guyz are porting themselves and thanking me through PM, this is the way I learnt and the same way I am sharing. :)
