This is a port from the I9100 section. I had absolutely nothing to do with its creation whatsoever. All thanks go to Vivek_Neel and Renderbroken, without whom this would not have been possible.

AICP original thread

...Plesae pop in over there and give them a thanks/donation...

What is AICP?

AICP is known by someone as Ice Cold Project that started on Desire HD and since than evolved as a mature rom with the BEST community you can find!!!
Rom has always been AOKP based so expect all AOKP goodies + new additions.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them or AOKP team if it conserns their modifications. This rom isn't AOKP supported so no need to report errors or bugs to them!! Please post any problems with this port here and not in the original thread

I update CWM through Mobile ODIN to move to KK. Coming back, I flash the Jeboo kernel from ShoStock thread, reboot recovery, then flash nandroid. Not sure if it's necessary to flash Jeboo first before going back, but it works for me. If you do it that way be sure to wipe cache/dalvic before installing the kernel.

I just recently jumped back to JB to test some "bugs" with kitkat and i can tell you that i had to downgrade recovery for the flash to take.

Did everything work out so far? Let me know if you have problems. I'll help if I can.

I've been back and forth the last few days between Carbon JB and KK builds. Downloaded this one to try out tomorrow. Still seems to be a lot across the board to be stabalized for KK to run smooth and bug free on our device.

Yeah me too. Kk definitely has its issues but it is stable enough to use for dd if you can tolerate the higher battery drain for a few days. It will go down after that.

Going to give this rom a try this evening. Been playing around with other KK builds, and porting the newest CarbonRom builds over. I usually don't flash anything that's not a RC or stable release, but very interested in playing with KitKat and bringing new life to this device. My daily is a 4.2.2 which runs great, but it's always fun to upgrade since we know official firmware will never be seen from AT&T.

I've seen this in a few other threads, and it didn't make sense to me, but I thought I would ask here. Using Render's KK kernel, people have reported better performance & battery life with the kernel that include TWRP instead of CWM. Does the recovery version make a difference as far as performance of the rom? I'm used to CWM but if the TWRP version really is better, I would probably give it a try.

Massive thanks to @Vivek_Neel and @razen_kain for bringing this over-featured goodness to us.

Recovery has no effect on ROM/kernel performance
