Don't get me wrong but if this is CM10.1 Based why don't you just use latest version and bring MIUI UI, System etc... As CM10.1 has everything working ? Don't get me wrong but this is looking promising but I need WiFi hotspot/Tether and great work on this and is much appreciated will install as soon as WiFi tether is fixed

I also heard that miui runs better when based on TouchWiz. This could be far from the truth though. it would be nice to have the stock camera app and all the features that came out of the box.

MIUI does run best on Touch wiz (Sammy based) also having the Sammy features makes MIUI a lot better although I'm prefer AOSP over Sammy I think its because fully customisable and I hate some touch wiz features like the notification bar is ugly and toggles are unnecessary as its got quick toggles in 4.2 and up

Finally got it installed. I had to try and install it about 3 times before it worked.

It does not recognise my external sd card. Is this currently a known bug or should it work? I have a 64G card that may be formatted as a exfat is this a problem?

thanks i will enjoy testing further and look forward to further improvements.

There is no exfat support at the moment.

Is there a working 4 way reboot mod that can be installed or can this be looked at for future updates.

Thanks so much for this rom. Its so nice to be back using miui.

As a side note I take it that all of the samsung features such as their camera features and fancy gestures wont work on this rom? Is it ever possible to merge these features or not?

Yes, stock MIUI browser had some issues, you can use another browser until i upload the fix.

At the moment there are no Samsung features, when all base miui things will work, maybe i will try to to make a samsung based rom. Im not sure about this.

Could you use a different upload host next time bmarko, I'm having some issues downloading from Hotfile. Could you use mega.co.nz, I can download 5Mb/s from there.

Bug's i found:
-Wifi isn't working here... Baseband:XXUBMEA
-Recent Apps background is Black
-Music Player don't show visuals (Lockscreen,Music Player,Mihome Launcher Widget and Mini Widget)
-Launcher Loads on every Press on Home button (Not in Memory,Keep Launcher in Memory is ticked)

Rom is still very smooth and runs stable :good:
Multilang would be nice but English US & UK is included and thats enough for me:p

My carrier label is incorrect. Is this set by the kernel and can I load a new one or do I need to stick with the miui one.

I tried and this KERNEL isn't working (booting) which app's gives you FC's?

Get spn-conf.xml from a working rom, and push it to /system/etc/, that will solve the issue i think. I use the MIUI one.

There is no custom kernel support at the moment, so only the supplied kernel will work now. Btw other kernels can make the bugreports harder.

Its not enabled by default, you can enable root access in Security center / Permissions / ROOT / Enable permission monitor

Thank you all for the feedbacks!
I tracked back Wifi teethering issues, it's working now. I will play with the remaining things and upload a fix in the weekend, or in the next week. It depends on my time.

About bugreports, provide logcat please if its possible.

Check the screenshoots, its working. You can test it with GPS Test from google play.

GPS works but it does not seem to be detected by all apps ie NRL 2013 app keeps asking to turn on location services yet it's on.

    MIUI FAQ:

    How can i turn LTE on?
    first try in settings:
    - mobile networks
    - Network type selection
    - LTE

    or

     - Dial "*#*#4636#*#*"
    - Phone Information
    - change [LTE/GSM] to [LTE/GSM/WCDMA]

    I have a bad battery drain, help!
    Disable NFC in settings.

    I got error 7 in recovery, when i tried to install MIUI:
    Use Pihlz's Touch recovery.

    My WiFi or Bluetooth is not working:
    -do a full factory reset in CWM (format /system, /cache, /data, /preload and in advanced Dalvik-cache)
    - install XXUBMGA with Odin
    - Install Pihlz's Touch recovery then flash MIUI back.

    Hi everyone!
    3.8.29 is up in the first post. I know that you expected 3.8.30, but it has some bugs with root permission, so miuiandroid decided to released .29 version.

    About the video volume recording, i already started testing some changes, and its not really kernel based. I will put it in the release when its ready. Key word is time, but we have long days in work now for like 2 or 3 weeks, so i can't promise anything.

    Let's clear some things. Sadly there is no official MIUI camera app for non Xiaomi devices, it's only available for original Xiaomi devices, others use vendor based camera app. Maybe it can be ported, i will look it. Second thing MIUI camera app is based on 4.1.2, this can cause problems too.

    Build is updated to 3.9.20 on the main page, hopefully i will have more time on the next week. I will check call mute and equalizer.
