GPS working fine here. If you want default bootanim, replace the file in system/media with the attached file. You will need a root explorer.

People,

I noticed a lot of postings that are requests for help. Most of those are from newer members.

Remember, you are the one flashing the software THAT MEANS IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to make sure you know enough to be able to work out problems the you run into, OR ........

You are able to articulate exactly in writing what the issues you are experiencing so we are able to provide assistance and insight. You need enough skills and understanding to do this, if you are lacking in these STUDY, READ and REREAD.

EVEN IF you have the same phone , same model, made in the week as mine, does not mean that it will react to the new ROM that is being flashed the same. So, Caveat Emptor.

Finally, to the more experienced people here, remember when you were a newbie, be kind, make sure you direct them to make sure they can learn how to resolve on their own.

Thanks ~~~ oka1

Project continues here with oreo: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a1/development/rom-miui-10-mi-a1-epic-mod-t3879804

    Code:
    include
    /*
     * Your warranty is now void.
     *
     * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
     * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
     * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
     * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
     * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.

Do not report bugs to Xiaomi, this is a NON official MIUI rom!

Do not report bugs here if you have not installed step by step according installation instructions!

    Old thread: https://forum.xda-deveopers.com/mi-a1/development/wip-miui-9-mi-a1-t3788854
After long time, I manage to port MIUI for Mi A1 for dayly use.
I used xiaomi.eu for port and added some customization from Epic Rom

    What works?
    All I have tested

    What doesn't ?

-On a small amount of devices, touchscreen is not working properly (touchscreen driver issue)--> fixed on test version
-Reading mode does not turn off if selected. You should reboot or manually move lower slider to left.
-Some apps does not illuminate notification led such as missed call and others. This is a beta base bug, not due to port.
-If you are not familiar with MIUI, do some research before posting a bug, the thread is plenty of reported bugs that are miui settings related.

    Features

    Android version 7.1.2
Rom built in @mohancm TWRP (you don't need to flash)
AROMA installer with center clock, dpi and gps.conf selections
    Base xiaomi.eu 8.11.1 https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/8-7-12-v2.44949/
Added Epic MIUI Mods such a:
    Rooted with magisk 17.1
OTA updates available on 8.9.13 and subsequent
    Advanced Reboot
Select rows and columns on launcher
    More tiles to UI
    Third party theme support
    Face unlock
    A-GPS extra settings
    Pico gapps
    Advanced reboot
    Tweaks
    ...

-Goodix fingerprint not working on test version

    Installation

Fastboot flash stock tissot rom https://en.miui.com/download-333.html if you are not on stock rom
Reboot and let GPS lock one time
Fastboot flash userdata from Mi5x nougat with command
    Code:
    fastboot flash userdata userdata.img
    download userdata img from --->https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=746163614322263787
