MIUI 8 for merlin is here !!!
After so long, the wait is over! Here is the first beta build of MIUI 8 Global for our Moto G Turbo

Rooted?
Yes... See instructions on end of the post

Xposed Works?
Yes, but if installed MIUI Theme engine doesn't work. See instructions on end of the post

What works?

All the basic functions (Wifi, RIL, data connection, Bluetooth, camera, Flashlight, sound, and more)

What does not work properly?

-Mobile network signal doesn't displays correctly sometimes (displaying as No SIM card), but still working anyway for calls, text and mobile data. FIX: Reboot device and press power button twice.
-Navbar does not hide
-External sdcard write/acess issue on some devices - FIX: Go to settings > installed apps > enabled documents app or watch this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LrWoICi-6wI
-Documents app needs to be enabled again after a reboot - FIX: Turn Off MIUI Optimization in Developers Options
-Custom APNS created by user doesn't saves
-Maybe MIUIAccount app force close with creating accounts, create your account in this website: https://account.xiaomi.com/pass/register
-Secured WiFi hotspots doesn't work on some devices.. FIX: Install FoxFI app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.foxfi

INSTALL GUIDE

-Don't forget to backup your files
-Reboot to recovery
-Copy the ZIP to phone storage
-Install ZIP
-Install ROOT - OPTIONAL
-Reboot and enjoy !!!

ROOT INSTALLATION GUIDE
-Install supersu.zip - AFH
-Install phh's SuperUser from Playstore or direct download apk from AFH
-Open phh's SuperUser, go to settings > select acess root > apps and adb
-All done !

XPOSED INSTALLATION GUIDE

Xposed Works, but if installed MIUI Theme engine doesn't work

-Install xposed-v87-sdk23-arm-MIUI-edition-by-SolarWarez-20161126.zip - AFH
-Reboot
-Install XposedInstaller_by_dvdandroid_26_11_16.apk - AFH
-Open Xposed installer, go to menu > Soft restart > Grant root permissions


OK GOOGLE AND NOW ON TAP FIX
-Go to settings > Additional Settings > Buttons > Long press buttons > Home > Select "Execute Google Now"
-And finally back to Settings > Installed Apps > Defaults > Assist. and voice input > Select Google App

Bugs when it comes to calibrating the screen, only goes to 10% and 110% and does not restore
Install xposed and is giving this error: 12-04 23: 56: 11,049 E / Xposed (459): Can not load any modules because /data/data/deta/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/conf/modules.list was not Found

And also wanted to know how to disable a Mi function that is sending me a billing message! THX

Surprise, surprise ! Got 5+ Hrs SOT with 20% battery still left.




All I remember doing is, turning "Developer Options" -> "MIUI optimizations" to OFF, reboot mobile, then turning optimizations ON again followed by reboot. Not sure if this helped, but that's the only thing I remember. Will try to repeat those figures again.

To me no FCs or any issues after using ROM for more than 3 weeks. What stability issues you are referring to? And @abhijeetc9762, I do not see any copy paste issues with chrome browser. Icing on cake is, battery consumption. I always get 4-5 hours SOT. Pretty happy with ROM.

Yeah, it's a good ROM but there is FC sometimes when I copy and paste, there is not app mail , the lastest osprey build its compiled with uberc and supports VoLTE ,it's a little more stable , fixes the nav bar bug and some more little things that can be good add for our device build
