I just installed the ROM. Thanks for the good work, pal.

I can't get Link2SD to work. I get a message that the resource is busy or ext3 is not supported. Then the phone reboots by itself and gets stuck in boot mode. Is Link2SD incompatible with this ROM?

thanks, lol... please follow the installation instructions in the op and youll be up and running in no time!... a2sd is built in... 3rd party apps will cause nothing but problems... trust me... youll have more than enough space if you partition your sd to 1-2g/0swap... the script i use does its job very well... :)

I installed it last night. No problem with the install following instructions. Everything seems to work, which is great. I do have a 2GB ext3 partition. Problem with app2sd I had in the past is that I kept running out of space for apps. Link2SD was working better for me.

First impression is that it seems a little slower that Bobzhome's CM9/ICS port and use more battery. Then, again, it's just an impression, I did not measure anything. Additionally, more things work. So it's a fair trade off. I'll use it a for a few more days and will give more feedback. Thanks for breathing new life into my Optimus!

glad to hear you got it sorted... it gets faster after all the files have settled in... its always very quick for me with no oc (as per the op)... keep in mind that all ovs are not the same... some can be ocd without issue, others (such as my zv5/zv9) cannot oc... doing so induces constant reboots... cached process/apps running in the background also effect performance, so id see what youve got going on there also... thanks for the feedback... :)

It's still stock right now. There is nothing else running besides gmail and enhanced email. Those I had also with Bob's ROM.

Overclocking can help but it further reduces battery life.

BTW, I am not saying it's slow. It is faster and has better battery life than CM7/IHO I had for a long time. It just seems to be a little slower than Bob's CM-9 IHO.

A couple of problems I ran into...

I can't get wifi tether to work either with wifi tether for rooted phones or the internal settings. That's a deal breaker for me as I need the phone as a modem for laptop and tablet.

The phone rebooted in the middle of a call. I don't know if it's because I had played with wifi tether before.

I had problems also receiving calls while on another call. I would pick up and could not hear the other party.

I had to manually change the number for voicemail - not a big deal, but it would nice if it were set correctly to start with.

Sent from my LG-VM670 using xda app-developers app

- native wifi tethering not working is a know issue and has been posted in the op since the day i started this thread as well as the workaround...
- if the phone rebooted in the middle of a call, its because you messed with broken features and caused bugs, or your ov is not stable at whatever min/max/gov you have it configured to... recommended settings have been posted in the op since the day i started the thread...
- call waiting is not available with the optimus v so i am confused to why you even posted it as a bug...
- having to manually change the voicemail number is a CM9 bug... Although it seems to vary from rom to rom... My GS3 port does not have this issue, nor the CM9 clock lag issue...
- please refer to the original post and follow the directions... it is very clear and to the point... Thanks

Dude, no need to get all worked out. It's part of the software developer job description that the feedback you will hear most is about problems (real or not), or questions about things you wrote elsewhere. You can figure how I know...

Anyway, I appreciate you efforts to port the ROM and provide prompt response.
More to the point:
- Yeah, I read about native wifi tethering not working. However, wifi tether for rooted users is a third party application and it doesn't work. Is there another application that works?
- To my recollection this is the first time my phone ever boots in the middle of a call since I've had it. I am using the recommended settings. If that wasn't the case I would I have mentioned. And yes, I did play with wifi tethering just before it rebooted. I did mention that, in fact.
- I may have to try the GS3 port then. The clock lag bugs me quite a lot since the phone is my "watch".

Also, at times it seems that the phone does not wake up to check email or receive push email notification. I'd have to investigate this more. Several times I woke up in the morning and the phone had no email notification, despite I had received emails in the middle of the night.

Thanks!... lol... i didnt mean to come across that way at all... i perfer wired everything myself, much more reliable... i use:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mstream.etpc&hl=en
although for wifi tether, these have both been reported as working:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsIm5ldC5zenltLmJhcm5hY2xlIl0.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...ch_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5mb3hmaSJd
im almost positive that your rr was due to messing with broken settings, but could also be due to too many apps/process running in the background...
GS3ICS is the one i run as my dd... im going to tinker with XperiaICS some more soon and remove beats/xloud/sec keyboard, and replace with srs/xperia keyboard... and on SGS3ICS, im going to remove the sec keyboard and replace with latinime, and a new battery script...
I dont like push notifications! Hence all the build.prop tweaks to disable auto checkins... I prefer to manually check... Please enjoy both ports and please keep offering feedback... it is invaluable... Thanks man... :)

I couldn't get Bernacle Wifi to work either. The other one won't even install. The play store says it's not available for my carrier (VM).
Is there any way to turn the push feature on?
I downloaded the GS3 rom. I will try that.
