Try a clean fashI'm having some major problems with this ROM, idk if it has something to do with the nano version of GAPPS I flashed, but my photo picker doesn't work in any of my apps. It's like the whole android-wide photos functionality of any kind is totally broken. When taking screenshots, I get a notification telling me it couldn't save it due to having low space on the phone (but Storage literally tells me I have 15GB free at least). I tried renaming the Pictures folder in /sdcard (internal storage) but it says it "could not rename", despite the rename going through just fine; but screenshots still give me the notification that it couldn't take it - which is all very weird because I ended up looking inside the Pictures/Screenshots folder and there are the screenshots, perfectly taken!
.........buuuuut I still can't even choose them in the file picker of any app. LOL so idk friends, think I'm gonna have to drop this one for now.
I guess the problem is the stock cam app that comes with this ROM is also gcam but I would like use arnova's version. I installed but sadly it keeps closing, tried disabling the stock cam app, didnt work.
Use root and remove/rename the included app. Don't just disable.
You can extract the APK from the flashable .zipI removed stock cam app, rebooted and installed arnova's app but it doesnt open, keeps stopping/crashing. Damn, whats wrong.
Now I am cameraless:laugh: Any other suggestion? I m trying arnova's V8.2
Edit :- Lol, somebody atleast give me AEX(5.8) stock cam app. Wow!

I tried to extract with brotli, python and what not..i guess i just dont know the dev stuff. Couldnt extract gcam apk from rom.You can extract the APK from the flashable .zip

Edit: never mind figured it out. This is whats written on the page:-
Arnova's v7beta9: similar to Arnova's v8.2. Use if you have issues with v8.2.
I agree, when comparing my G5 Plus with a G4 Plus side-by-side, I've noticed that the colors look a bit dull on my G5 Plus even while it's set on Vibrant mode in Display settingsDoes anybdy agree with me that g5 plus needs some color accuracy/calibration?
If yes then should that be included in the next update?
also, I have seen a thread regarding a mod called "sa2uration", something of that sort is needed to produce vibrant (lol, not expecting SAMOLED quality) colors on our lifeless displays!:highfive:
What?! well..there is a .dat.br file inside the zip file, I extracted it using brotli then i had next mission to extract .dat file but here i failed, for now I have found an amazing substitute in the form of arnova but I would really like know how to extract .dat.br files to the core. Wish it were easier like the old (7z or zip) days. It's just a zip file. Try on a PC with decet tools for working with archives.

So v7 works?
If so, sounds like v8 has some bugs then.

Verizon fixed this a long time ago and it's a feature I rely on heavily and it doesn't work currently on this ROM, unless I'm doing something wrong.
Not sure what you mean Verizon fixed it.
But to use voice and data at same time you need VoLTE active and enabled. I believe VoLTE works on this ROM but not certain.
I forget exactly how it's labeled in different ROMs, but look for VoLTE or Enhanced 4G LTE Services.
Maybe try phone info (*#*#INFO#*#*) and toggle VoLTE on.
Sorry. It used to be that Verizon didn't allow their users to browse while calling -- that's what they fixed.
I checked under settings -> Network & Internet -> Mobile Network already and it says that Enhanced 4G LTE Mode is already enabled. But still can't browse while calling.
Verizon never disallowed it. It was/is a function of the technology used (CDMA voice) .
There are phone (like my LG G2) that were capable of CDMA voice and LTE data at the same time due to hardware/design.
But most need VoLTE for that because the can't use CDMA and LTE at the same time.
Did you check the info menu?
I've seen some ROM builds where VoLTE was not enabled, but I wouldn't expect the settings option to be there in that case.
