I used th run DotOS 3.0 for long time, love it.
Due to lack of space, thought of done an upgrade with Android11 Darkjoker roms.
Wiped all
Dj TWRP for A11
Format Data
intalled fstab script
reboot recovery
Wipe art cache system data
fastboot lineageos18.1
*error too big*
---
wiped all again
installed from Erecovery, firmware H3G branded 8.0.0.362 (ITAC555)
reinstalled twrp 3.5 of DJ (and Askuccio 3.2, 3.4 and Pretoriano)
This time used fstab script before (and the new patch of 28-06)
format data reboot wipe all (no, never wiped vendor partition)
fastboot lineage18.1 (wrong size) (dotos 3.0 no boot) (AOSP10 no boot) (lineage0s 15-16-17 no boot)
patch r2 applied, system resized
decrypt patch v1 & v2 applied before, after, between, on side the format data

No stock roms online of any type
Now I'm stuck with 8.0 full of useless bloatware and with no app space.

Why?😭😭😭

Hisuite is letting me a rollback of And 7.0 with firmware ITAC555B173, maybe it can do a clean install of AOSP10 from there :(

update: I'm swearing so much that I'm gathering all the saints on the calendar.

Restored DotOS 3.0/ Gapps 9 nano/ Magisk. And this device will work as is until it's dies.
11 days... never again in my life with a Huawei.

(Solved, ignore it)
Hi all, when downgrading to PRA-LX1 8.0.0.360(C432) via dload I always get 8.0.0.046(0C71) no matter which files I use. (If I flash lineageOs 18 with this version I get errors)

1)What am I doing wrong?
2)Can someone give me a link to the correct dload files?
3)Would anyone be so kind to send HuRuUpdater files if the rest fails? (huawei servers are down and I can't find them)

Thanks a lot for your attention ^^

Hi and Thank you @DarkJoker360 for your job

I want to build "eos" for p8 lite 2017 which is based on LineageOs 17.1
I search for proprietary vendor blobs on your github but i don't find it for lineageos 17.1 or its not clear which branch works to build it.

Could you help me please. i'm new in building android with vendor blobs.

Oh, I think I messed up something I'm in a bootloop 🙃 ...
I followed the upgrade procedure but...
Have to say I've microG and Magisk and MagiskHide. Do you think one of this apps can be responsible ?
Do youhave an idea of can have cause that ?
Finally, about a week ago, i backep up all partitions with TWRP, do you think I can do a restoration ? If yes what partitions should I restore (I have Cache, Cust, Data, Odm, Kernel, Ramdisk, System, System Image, Vendor, Vendor Image, Version, Version Image, eRecovery Ramdisk, eRecovery Kernel, eRecovery Vbmeta, eRecovery Vendor, Recovery Vbmeta, Recovery Vendor, Recovery Ramdisk, Fastboot, FRP, Misc, NVME, Oeminfo, Splash2, VBMeta, Modem_fw Image, modem_om Image, modemnvm_backup, modemnvm_factory, modemnvm_img, modemnvm_system, modemnvm_update).

for me the update is ok
thanks for the updates
my only small problem is the long start.
on the screen below it is at least 30 seconds
before starting under lineage

So, I've tried to flash the old version but same result (it was maybe a bad idea).
Anyway, I need my phone tomorrow so I will just go through the whole process by eRecovery, unlock, TWRP...
I thank my habits of making regular backups of important data and encourage you to do the same.

EDIT: Huawei is really strange. This time, I used eRecovery but my bootloader was not relocked...

Any problem if I flash the ROM on 8.0.0.412?
If so, can someone point me to a downgrade guide?

Many thanks!
Downgrade to .400 firmware with dload method.
Newer firmwares with newer security patches may refure to boot due to some Huawei changes for avoiding modding.

So to install ROM try to follow this steps :

- Boot stock rom (download correct rom version for your device for downgrade from here PRA-LX1 8.0.0.360 til 8.0.0.400). Use dload to downgrade. Afterwards reboot system.
- Log in to Google/Huawei services (else you can not enable OEM unlock)
- enable developer options
- in developer options enable USB Debugging + OEM unlock
- boot to bootloader holding volume down + start button
- in fastboot ADB console type the following : fastboot oem unlock (+ the unlocking code)
- in fastboot console type fastboot reboot
- system restarts and does a factory reset
- boot into bootloader
- in fastboot ADB console install this recovery using ADB fastboot by typing fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk twrp.img (rename the file you downloaded to twrp.img)
- in fastboot console type fastboot reboot
-
while system is starting hold volume up + down at the same time + start button when
release buttons when boot menu from Huawei is starting warning the device is no longer safe
and hold again buttons volume up + down to enter TWRP menu
- flash the decrypt file (https://sourceforge.net/projects/da...les/Huawei/Huawei-Decrypt-Emui_8.zip/download)
- reboot and go enter again TWRP menu
- Wipe Cache, Cache/Dalvik, Data and Internal Storage
- format data
- Go back into TWRP recovery and wipe Cache, Cache/Dalvik, Data, Internal Storage + system
- reboot (in TWRP MENU choose bootloader)
- in fastboot console install the system (run: fastboot flash system <drag system.img here>)
- Reboot into recovery TWRP menu and in wipe resize system partition
- install from TWRP menu NFC_fix.zip

reboot system

Many thanks!

Downloading the ROM right now, will test this evening...

So, it's now few weeks I use this ROM on my main phone and I'm fully satisfayed.

I'm just annoyed by a little thing: with the Huawei ROM I was able to share wifi over wifi, like a repeater. Now, when i start wifi sharing, it disable wifi. I had to install a third party app to do that.
Is there any way to do it without a third party app ?

I've recently succesfully unlocked the bootloader of my Mediapad T5. I was looking for a way to root it now. So that's why I came across this topic.

But I guess I'll prefer to keep using the stock ROM.

Annyone knows a good guide for just rooting the Mediapad T5? I'm a bit lost in between all the info on the internet about this subject.

Excuse me, seems there's something about this mentioned just above this post... :)

My P8 lite 2017 won't boot into any TWRP recovery images provided.
I have installed a TWRP called huawei-honor-8-lite-twrp-3.1.1.img. only that is working

Hi, right now I can enter download mode and install twrp. I tried installing ROMs but the phone does not boot. It keeps showing the huawei logo. Is it possible that I fcked up all when I did install the twrp selecting boot instead of recovery??

Normaly you have to : fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk twrp.img
If you try to fastboot *boot* recovery_ramdisk twrp.img

You end up with a error message (don’t know why, but we can simply boot this TWRP, we had to flash it)

On the other hand indeed, if you have flashed on another partition (ramdisk for example and not recovery_ramdisk) you will have to either find which partition to repair/restore or simply start from scratch with a DLOAD ...

    Hi,
Thank's for this nice rom. Is there an howto to root it ? I'm unable to install Magisk with twrp (after renamed it Magisk-v23-canary-phh.zip) ? The installation failed with the error msg :
Updater process ended with ERROR : 127
    Error installing zip file /sdcard/Download/Magisk-v23-canary-phh.zip
Any help would be appreciate ;-)
    Thanks.

EDIT: Found a method and files on the HI6250 Telegram community

    PS : LineageOS 18.1 release 20210910 installed over PRA-LX1 8.0.0.408(C432)

    LineageOS 18.1 for Huawei P8 Lite 2017

    *** Stable Version ***

    About
LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 11, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.
