A couple of weird things in p2: the blacked out browser affects Pulse too, although you can see the text when changing screens. Also, something is blocking viper4android from being able to install it's drivers.

Edit, media is always at max volume too

Flashed it nd kept it for several hours! It was lovely experience! Build is too good for pre-alpha. Looks pretty stable. There are graphics glitches here and there but it looks smooth and most importantly this is very ram friendly. got 300+ ram after killing apps. Just a dream!

Waiting eagerly for the updates. And btw nice boot animation too!

Sound issues.

I'm the opposite I only get sound in alarm and that's it

I went through and tested things. It seemed to me that only every 3rd-4th sound in each of the Notification, Ringtone and Alarms list were working.
If you go into the sound settings panel, you if you go through each sound as you select it it should play. Only roughly 25% of them work.

From this, I wouldn't be surprised if there is a media service issue.

I hope this helps.

Cheers,
John

gapps

MINI MODULAR PACKAGE 4.4 works without hiccups, but it pollutes the system.

I would definitely prefer aroma installer with a choice of contact & calendar sync & google play and ability to skip everything else from google.

otherwise the ROM gives me no errors.
browser, and couple of email apps from the market gave me black screen
overall, longer loading time, and slightly slower than JB CM, similar to sense 4.1 roms

This has been incredibly stable and seems to be completely fine for a daily driver ROM. Yes, the stock browser only shows a black screen and gaming performance isn't quite there yet, but other than that I haven't found any problems with this ROM at all. Nice work, Nikez!

I've been using the mini modular PA gapps package. As I always do, I deleted some unneeded system apps like the Google launcher (I use Nova) and also disabled the stock browser since it's not working properly at the moment.

Cheers! :highfive:

Hey,

I just wanted to let you know that I plan on releasing a 3rd preview build some time soon, but I haven't gotten the time to work on it yet. I've fixed the Camera, Audio, Playback and LPA. (Buggy but they work). I want to fix the issue w/ webview, I have an idea but it requires a lot of work. (Updating KGSL, EGL, GPU, etc.) I am hoping that my workload eases of and that I can find the time to work on it some time soon.

Cheers
