No, theyre not known for having a loose connection but I ve also not heard anyone say that their mic stopped working after flashing a ROM either.

Ok. Do you think maybe a mcu update can be a solution? My mcu version is mtcd_xrc_v2.54a_1

I read some where along here that you recommended updating the mcu from a mtcd to mtce ?

ive been testing with the google search app after reflashing and resetting but i just found out via that thread, that google search is not working with all the xrc devices.

but my issue was with the bt app when i made a call they could not hear me.

With the stock rom i received a call, and i remember i asked if they could hear me, yes (but poorly).

i have to test if the problem is with only making a call and not when receiving a call.

Hey. I recently installed this rom on my head unit, so far its working great but the internal microphone is not working anymore. is there a fix for this ?

You might want to check your BT settings on phone when connected. Ensure that the toggles for calls and audio are off. I initially had these ON and the caller couldnt hear me. Toggling these off solved the problem, at least for me.

Does these not need to be toggled ON to ble able to receive and make a phone call or listen to audio ?


I made some tests since last time, and apparently the internal mic is working. but it is incredibly weak and i have to shout for it to pick up what i am saying.. guess external mic is the way to go. at least on these head units

Hi, I have this ROM installed since 2019 and it works nice, but this week I want to change the Shutdown delay when ACC OFF and I couldn't find this option. I was looking in extra settings where is supposed it is but it isnt. Anyone can help me with that??

Hi everybody,

I have a little problem in order to update this ROM on my erisin 4046 unit.
First of all, it is the first time that I try to update the firmware of my unit.

I think doing it well but I must doing something wrong because my unit don't want to do the update!
I did point after point the "How to install the firmware" guide but the unit give me the message "No update image file".

I copy the update.img on the root of my SDcard and try to put it in the GPS Card slot or SD Card slot and no detection.

I have tried to update via the recovery mod : another fail, no image found!
I have tested with another ROM and it is the same error.

Should I do something wrong in the process?

Just keep trying, this happens sometimes, try another sdcard, try a usb stick, maybe try @Hal9k_'s mod installer app.

Hi, I tried to create a SD card using the SD Firmware Tool, but every time I try, I get 'Writing MBR Failed' error.
I tried many versions of the tool (1.4, 1.46, 1.56, 1.59) and also v.2.4 and 2.5 of the ROM. I used many SD cards including a SanDisk Ultra 128Gb. The other SD cards were 16Gb and 32Gb. I formatted them to FAT32 using Window at first, and then SD Card Formatter, and MiniTool Partition Wizard. Nothing seems to work. My computer is running on Windows 10. I can read and write to those SD cards otherwise.

My goal is to upgrade a HD MTCD_KLD_V1.96_1 running on Android 5.1.1, build number rk3188 using this ROM.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, I found a solution. I tried creating a bootable SD on three different computers running on Windows 10 x64 to no avail. Finally, I tried a forth one, and it worked! The difference between the three computers and the forth one is that the former had Windows 10 upgraded from Windows 7 or 8, whereas the latter was a factory-installed Windows 10. So there you have it. Now it's time to try installing this ROM on my HU.

I think you're right. I realized that the three former computers had ESET Internet Security installed, while the 4th one didn't. More likely than not, the antivirus is the culprit. I tried deactivating the real-time system defence in ESET, but apparently it didn't have any effect (unless I had to restart my computer after, which I didn't do). I guess there was something else that had to be deactivated, but I just don't know what exactly. And with the workaround, luckily I don't have a need to find out.

I installed MTCD-KLD 2.57 firmware on my HU with no issues today. I'm not sure if this is the latest, but that's what I was able to find. The system seems a tad faster, but I would know for sure in a few days. But before that, I hope to upgrade Android from 5.1.1 to Android 7.1.2 using this ROM v.2.5, and I hope it'll go without a hitch.

I intend to use two SD cards. I'll use a bootable one in the GPS slot to boot to Nougat, and then replace it with the second one containing the image. The reason for that is that to get to a USB port, I'd have to remove the dashboard. If the full SD card method doesn't work, I'll have to take the dashboard away.

I'll keep you posted.

Wont be any anti virus either - I use Linux so I have no antivirus and it still happens sometimes. @Hal9k_'s modinstaller was sposed to sort it but even that doesnt always work.

You mean you installed the MCU MTCD KLD 2.57 ? That wont make it any faster as its an MCU not a ROM. Thats not the latest KLD MCU by the way, its MTCE 3.01, check the fileserver in my signature.
