Hi!

I have big problem with my Wi-Fi. During using e.g. PcRadio I realized that Wi-Fi is permanently disconnecting.
I noticed this because ever and again the music is paused and after a few seconds is playing again. It happens so irregularly. This also happens when using youtube. Sometimes WI-Fi icon is disappearing.

Has anyone had such an annoying case? How to fix it? I did a factory reset, which unfortunately does not help...

You can't. It is not compatible with this roms.

You have Android 8, if you like to update to Android 9 you must change the recovery, read the first post.

I would like to update to the android 9 version but I find a lot of files and instructions ....
if I have not misunderstood I have to put the lite version first ... then the 1.30 and finally the 1.35 quite right????

hi, i messed up my head unit.

i was trying to update the viper4android and downloaded some magisk stuff and it got me into bootloop.

now if i recover or update my head unit from the recaovery to an older malaysk rom, back from when the full version was sent to us, does it then automatically offer the newest online update again? whats the best way of getting rid of the broken non booting magisk and get my malaysk rom back working.

i cann access the recovery mode.

Hey guys,

i installed the Malaysk rom and all works fine. but sometimes i start the car, the playstore pops up. can i setup the autostart or find a logfile where i can se what this thing does?

another problem is the autostart from usb-dab Dongle. everytime i start the car a popup is shown like "want you start the DAB app XYZ" and the only option is dismiss oder ok and save this set.

i dont like the popup and i dont want start the app - i want to do nothing.

can you help me?

Hey guys.
I'm using full/paid rom and am very glad about its functions. But I have a problem with the sound output when using my navigation app (Here We Go). Every time there is a command (e.g. "turn left" or "turn right" or whatever), sound is stuttering and lagging.
It was working with another Android 9 rom on my HU.

Is there a possible fix for that respectively a certain option I have to de/activate?

Everything else is working fine and afaik I'm on latest MCU...

Read OP, there's an info how to contact Malaysk personally (via Mail). Corresponding instruction also contains data/information about your device you will have to provide to Malaysk in order to receive a download link for your personalized full version of the rom.

Anyone can confirm that they have an OBD dongle which does not have OBDII name working in this Custom ROM?

If the OBD has OBDII name it works perfect but if it does not have the OBDII name on the bluetooth device it will not work or make an connection with the OBD.

The tool that allows you to rename does not make a difference.

Anyone with a confirmed working setup?

Example: OBLINK LX etc

I tried using the "Change OBD adapter name" in mod settings but I was not able to use it to connect to my OBDLink LX. I downloaded MyMTCService app from the playstore and used the "Recognize as an OBD device" and I was able to connect. Not sure if it is an issue with the mod settings or what, but I could not use it to connect. MyMTCService had no issues once the name was entered I went to the Bluetooth app and it connected the first time.

@Malaysk can you check if this was broken maybe due to an update? it seems to be an issue in both android 9 and android 10.

I can confirm it does not work on android 10 - Malask 1.1.7

Done, the pairing works its just the app does not connect to OBD

pairing is good, when starting obd2 app it simply does not connect, if try other OBD it works, so not sure why....
