Thank you for your reply. I will give a look what the log says and also if the DAC is recognized. Buttons on the module are working, but no audio.Hi, this is an historical issue I have, I asked about it everywhere, you can follow my threads, Hal9k also answered me at the time he used to answer questions and admit the issue, I'm wondering if new android 10 mod5 version will fix it.
Are you sure you the sound card was really detected? Look at kernel log when inserting it and search if you have a similar error: "V/[ 1192.909639] snd-usb-audio: probe of 1-1.1:1.0 failed with error -1"
It seems that the failure that is received (snd-usb-audio: probe of 1-1.1:1.0 failed with error -1) prevents the regular registration of the DAC at a later time
that the system does not know to which USB device to route audio, whether bluetooth or Dac.
Furthermore the snd-usb-audio seems to not be able to manage two different audio outputs with two instances
simultaneously. In this case one on bluetooth and one on Dac.
I found this is related only to PX6, not PX5 devices.
Same problem as mine, I confirm is a kernel issue and I suspect which is the cause.Thank you for your reply. I will give a look what the log says and also if the DAC is recognized. Buttons on the module are working, but no audio.
Yesterday I upgraded to HA3 Android 10 and problem is still there. As far as I know the problem should be the Kernel and not the Android. So we have to look deeper.
This is something I found about RK3399. We could give a try...
My USB/DAC module (PCM2704) is very cheap, but before I order the Helix USB module, this must be sufficient to find the problem.

Edit: The user aluver seems to be familiar with USB Audio problems and could help. But he's inactive since a year...

I had a mod version of Kotix with Android 8 installed on my PX5 HA headunit
Today I receive ModInstallerProPX5.apk from Hal9k intending to upgrade to Android 10
The upgrade to worked fine, but now I am unable to install the Hal9k_Mod_4.0_MTCD_MTCE_PX5_eng from the recovery menu. Am I missing something or am I following the wrong order? Please advice.
Hi I need some urgent help with this. I've paid for the updates and its all upto date. I really love the stereo as a whole, works like a charm except 2 problems.
1st being on three occasions now, after leaving the car parked overnight in the morning the stereo screen does not turn on, just the nob lights and the only way to sort it is by removing all the trim and unplugging the stereo. Anyone have a similar sort of problem?
2nd when car play is on the volume drops on the system and when a notification comes through the music stops playing and you have to go back in to the music player app.
You have to wait for Hal9k Mod v5 which @Hal9k_ is working on for quite a while now but still hasn't released.
On my Dasaita MAX6 I installed Android10 with Hal9k Mod Installer.
Since then, I'm no more able to reboot the device with normal workarround.
My Start button just puts the device in standby and the second button for starting in recovery mode has no function. Will I have to learn the buttons again in the Factory Settings or is this a known problem?
You can set the theme manually to dark or light inRecently installed version 4 (free) and waiting for access codes (MTCE/PX5]. One issue I have is with the automatic nightime mode. In my Subaru WRX it senses the daytime running lights as having the headlights on. I always have my DLRs on. Is this a setting that can be configured? I would even take disabling the feature over having the unit in night-time mode all the time...
Again, if you don't like it you can start making your own ROM or MOD, whatever you like.
So far, it has a test version 5.0.0 only on PX6 android 10, those interested can sign up for testing. Conditions are listed on 4pda.to in message # 5604:
