Last OTA version in immediately installed after 4.0 ?

I have 4.2 R or something like that

Ok Google is working perfectly

I regret you removed dark "night mode" and brightness bar with very low intensity. I cannot update to android 10 as Bluetooth is not working

Tasker start time - around 1 min


Hi i m using V4 with the latest updates (can't move to v5 because my RNS has freezes with Android 10) - I was using before tasker (stock rom and other different roms) but with Hal9k v4 it takes around 1 minute after a cold start until tasker is loaded (1 minute after I see my start screen and the system is running!)

do you know what to change that tasker is loaded asap after boot?

Are you using automatic apps start ? I used it and it was very long yes (maps is starting automatically even if its not selected ...) we probably need to check init.d or somewhere else

Is there any problem regarding OTA ? I just reinstalled this version, I applied my access code for OTA and nothing is receiving, still version 4.0 ...
It makes me really upset and angry ....

Upset and angry like Ukraine, or disappointed.

Consider that RU has infrastructure issues, including cloud storage as the world applies sanctions against .RU

Also consider those purchasing items from .RU citizens may be breaking the law.

Does your knock off Chinese origin head unit so much? Perhaps donating to a humanitarian organisation instead of buying an OTA access code for kanged ROM might make you feel a whole lot better.

I try to understand you but is over my capability .
First of all don't judge me, better judge you. Second, how do you know when I purchase an OTA (it has been in June 2020 , what's the connection of my purchase and the war) ? Third, I pay for something and I don't get it anymore, is it ok ?
Next time use a forum as its purpose, help others and ask qustions, don't judge people, don't discuss about geopolitics interests. This is an tech forum.

RU has cloud storage and infrastructure issues meaning public lose out to commercial and government requirements. You "don't get it anymore" because of this. Your words.

Last reply in this subject for you, maybe you will understand what are you doing.
First, I just spoked with hal9k by mail and he told me that I have to receive the updates for this version not for V5 that's right because this is what I bought.
Second, a friend of mine haves the same ROM and I reinstalled for test and he is receiving the updates. Stay on your business don't complicate the problems of others.
Good luck my "friend" !

That's really annoying, can I somehow go back to previous OTA? The last one didn't change anything, just removed one app and added that stupid irritating update notification. I don't want to update to Android 10 and buy V5 after V4 support got discontinued few months after I purchased it.

To peeps with 4.2.1: Don't download the latest 4.2.2 OTA! There is no way to disable that annoying notification right now and probably won't be.

I completely agree. I feel like I paid for a software and now I'm getting ads directly on my device pushing me to buy the new version. It's basically crippling the old version to squeeze out more money. Not cool.

Hey ! I need your help... How can I use Agama Car Launcher without problems? If I install the program, then every time I exit the application or restart the player, all settings are lost. I gave him all the necessary permissions, but the problem was not solved. Any advice is welcome. Thanks !

Consider buying an FYT uis7862 unit.
No need to run modded roms, which just fix mtcx problems.

Working BT, supports BLE. No need to pay modders for fixes that the seller should be fixing. This from a once mtcd/HA owner and dev.

Thanks, but ...It's not really a cheap option; I am satisfied with the current unit, in terms of stability and performance. A possible software solution to my problem ?

It is possible to deactivate the sporadic upcoming update notification?
I don't want to update the rom as my bluetooth connection is not working with android 10.

    This is a further development of the Hal9k Mod v3 based on Android 8.

    Installation:
    When switching from any other firmware, user data will be cleared automatically!
    When upgrading from a previous version, wipe data is not required. But it is recommended if there are any problems.
    For stable operation of the device, it is recommended to update the MCU firmware to the latest: 3.40 and higher, or to the latest version available for your device
    You can obtain the MCU firmware from the seller of your HU or search in cs-x collection

    Update from Android 9:
    The installation is similar to a regular firmware update
    1. Copy the firmware file update.zip to a USB flash drive / SD memory card formatted in FAT32
    2. Insert a USB flash drive / SD memory card into the device
    3. In the window that appears, click "Install"
    4. After installation, the device will automatically restart one more time to complete the installation of Magisk.
    When installing from a SD memory card, installation may take longer!

    Update from Android 6, 8:
    Requires updating the recovery version to Android 9
    • Simple and safe way: Use the application ModInstaller Pro (link to the application in the readme.txt file, which is located in the archive with the firmware or in my signature at the bottom of this post)

    Update from Android 8 with saving data:
    Only for PX5 devices!
    The archive contains 2 special packages that can be used to switch from Android 8 without data loss
    1. Connect to the HU with Android 8 firmware (Mod v3.x) one USB flash drive formatted in FAT32.
      There should be enough free space on the flash drive to save the device’s internal storage
    2. Install the package update.zip from the folder backup8 from the same flash drive or from the SD card
      A multivolume archive with your data (userdata*) will be created on the USB flash drive.
    3. Install mod v4.x by the method above
    4. After the full installation of Android 9, connect a USB flash drive with archive to the HU
    5. Install the package update.zip from the folder restore9 from the same flash drive or from the SD card
    6. Reboot the HU.
    The first boot of Android 9 after restoring the archive from Android 8 may last longer than usual. The system needs time to convert data
    This method does not guarantee full functionality of all third-party applications that were installed in Android 8.
    If you encounter any problems - reset device to factory settings

    Q: How to automatically install my applications after installing the firmware?
    A: Create the hct folder on the flash drive with the firmware, the apk folder in it and put your apk in it. They will be automatically installed after the installing the firmware.

    A: If the MD725 type 2 Bluetooth module is installed in your HU, then it will not work in Android 9. The reason is that its driver was removed from Android 9.

    Solution: replace the module with type 1

    Known Issues:
    Mod is a modified factory firmware.
    I can only be responsible for the changes in the device that I made. All of them are listed in the "List of changes" section.
    Everything else, both good and bad, is inherited from the factory firmware.
    I try to fix bugs found in the stock, but this I can’t always do it.
    If you do not agree with this, do not install this firmware.
    • On some devices with a PX5 processor, the screen backlight sometimes does not turn on after exiting sleep mode.
      After rebooting the device with the RST button or turning off the ignition for about 20-30 seconds, it continues to work.
      The same problem exists on the stock and on newer version of the stock
