After last ota update 4.0.2 my device its a laging all the time. Apps starting slowly :( When they startet for example google maps the hole time only laggs and laggs.
Ram ist free only the original apps are installed. i use a extrons px5. Before hal9k (4.0.1) Eveythings works finde Whats can i do now?

I'm about to install the Android 9 ROM on my PX5 headunit but I have Bluetooth module MD725 and I know it doesn't work on android 10 but... on this version based on Android 9 will bluetooth and wifi work?

Since few days my Google Services keeps crashing. So I want to add a second Google Account to my Device to play youtube music. When I choose to add another google account the error "google services stopped working" comes.

I tried already the following:
  • Updated over the play store
  • Uninstalled updates (this fixed the identical issue which I had with Chrome)
  • Cleared Cache
  • Several Reboots at anytime of troubleshooting
Or does anyone know a good app to listen to youtube music without adding a second google account?

I'm having same problem with lags on Google apps (maps playstore) GPS fix is really bad on 4.0.R

@Hal9k_ : can you please remove this version and stay on previous one ? We are a lot who can't upgrade to Android 10 with Bluetooth issue... thanks for your support

The reverse camera stop working,
once i change to reverse only black screen appear with the lines

Cant Upgrade from OTA 4.02 - -> OTA 4.03. After „Successfull“ Install without Errors. Bootloop!!

Than i Press the Hardware-Button to go to the Receoverymenu Wipe-Cache than Factory Reset.
Device Works after recovery with hal9k 4.0. Than i update OTA-4.01 than to OTA 4.02. But 4.03 didnt worked. Booloop again.
How can I do it?

I have a Nifty City PX6 interface module that shows as a 3399 and has android 9. There are no physical buttons on the unit as it is designed to integrate into the factory radio and screen.

My question is, has anyone installed a rom onto this standalone unit?

My reasoning is that Nifty City’s Canbus integration for factory buttons/ AC display/ backup camera is causing the unit to crash non-stop. I’ve tried root, uninstall via ADB and force stopping the service and none of it works. Any time it is stopped or uninstalled the unit crashes and reboots. Upon reboot its reinstalled. The service is com.ppdl.carserialserver.

Any help would be appreciated.

If none of this helped, then MTCE_KLD_V3.01_1, the 1 at the end changed your customer version to 1, try changing it to another number: Factory settings/126/ Other/ Customer version.

    Installation:

    Update from Android 9:
    The installation is similar to a regular firmware update
    1. Copy the firmware file update.zip to a USB flash drive / SD memory card formatted in FAT32
    2. Insert a USB flash drive / SD memory card into the device
    3. In the window that appears, click "Install"
    4. After installation, the device will automatically restart one more time to complete the installation of Magisk.
    When installing from a SD memory card, installation may take longer!

    Update from Android 6, 8:

    Update from Android 8 with saving data:
    Only for PX5 devices!
    The archive contains 2 special packages that can be used to switch from Android 8 without data loss
    1. Connect to the HU with Android 8 firmware (Mod v3.x) one USB flash drive formatted in FAT32.
      There should be enough free space on the flash drive to save the device’s internal storage
    2. Install the package update.zip from the folder backup8 from the same flash drive or from the SD card
      A multivolume archive with your data (userdata*) will be created on the USB flash drive.
    3. Install mod v4.x by the method above
    4. After the full installation of Android 9, connect a USB flash drive with archive to the HU
    5. Install the package update.zip from the folder restore9 from the same flash drive or from the SD card
    6. Reboot the HU.
    The first boot of Android 9 after restoring the archive from Android 8 may last longer than usual. The system needs time to convert data
    This method does not guarantee full functionality of all third-party applications that were installed in Android 8.

    A: If the MD725 type 2 Bluetooth module is installed in your HU, then it will not work in Android 9. The reason is that its driver was removed from Android 9.

    Known Issues:
    Mod is a modified factory firmware.
    I can only be responsible for the changes in the device that I made. All of them are listed in the "List of changes" section.
    Everything else, both good and bad, is inherited from the factory firmware.
    I try to fix bugs found in the stock, but this I can’t always do it.
    If you do not agree with this, do not install this firmware.
    • On some devices with a PX5 processor, the screen backlight sometimes does not turn on after exiting sleep mode.
      After rebooting the device with the RST button or turning off the ignition for about 20-30 seconds, it continues to work.
      The same problem exists on the stock and on newer version of the stock
