[ROM][PX5][PX6][PX30][Q][10] Hal9k Mod v5 for MTCx/HCTx head units with Android 10/9/8/6

After installing version 5.2.0 I have a problem with the Bluetooth module:

You are very confused, once again:
1) Install Android 9 recovery using modinstaller.
2) Download and install Android OTA update HCT4_rk3399_9.0_ota(20200411).zip
3) Install Android 10 recovery using modinstaller.
4) Install android 10 Mod 5.0 OTA update

i installed android 9
was working no errors during install
(i did not install all updates from mod 4.0.0 to 4.2.1)
continued directly with modinstaller apk
selected android 10 with file HCT7_rk3399_10.0_ota(20211009)
FAIL after verifying update.zip

could not install allways error message (same as everytime status 7) although i downloaded android 10 update zip FRESH before

now i do not have system any more just debug window in text 😭

maybe HCT7 does not fit for my AV8V5, although it worked for android 9.
i have no idea!

what can i do now with android 10 recovery boot?

can i use the android 9 update.zip?

i am very confused now how to proceed, since i have only text on my AV8V5!

do i have to reset using the method with SDDiskTool_v1.59 and PX6_A10_IGV.img file?

can anyone from the devoloers please explain the ERROR (status 7)?
it seems that system image update throws the error.

I haven't tested it, you can try it, but I'm not responsible for any errors, anyway, it should solve a lot of problems, but some users report the WQ_RF210 bluetooth not working. Here is the HCT2 thread, there are also launcher screens:

i installed this rom (original MIC)
works (not tested anything except starting)

then i installed modinstaller pro 2 (want to have Hall9k ROM not original ROM)
choose android 10
chose update.zip
got a new error

what do i have to do that i have hal9000 android 10 - looks much better than original :) ?
all my sd cards work with hal9000 android 9 update.zip and original andoid 10 update.zip

something is with hal9000 android 10?
what is error: (staus 7) ? i still got no answer to this question.

after a few tries with another usb-stick i managed to install base-version, and after some work on the sds968 file and some resets i've got now working BT on version 5.0.2 and all automatic updates disabled.

How can i set the ringtone volume?

There are two ways to choose a ringtone. In Mod settings and in settings.

But in settings/tones or volume it has no effect when changin ringtone volume.

I have pushed a ringtone called ring.mp3 to the system with 98% less volume so my wifes not get killed when someone calls because the other ringtones just blows your ears away :)

ich bin neu hier, habe aber direkt eine Frage:

Mein PX30 (Android 10 & Hal9K 5.0.2) fährt runter wenn ich Zündung ausmache und bracht bei Start lange zum hochfahren.
=> gibt es keinen STANDBY MODE? <=

Ich lese zwar immer wieder davon, aber nirgendwo steht wie ich ihn aktiviere bzw. das Runterfahren gegen Standby tausche

Wäre klasse wenn jemand einen Tipp hat

maybe better in English:

My PX30 (Android 10 & Hal9K 5.0.2) shuts down when I turn off the ignition and takes a long time to boot up.
=> is there no STANDBY MODE? <=

I keep reading about it, but nowhere does it say how to activate it or swap shutdown for standby

Would be great if someone has a tip

FINALLY 5.2.0 Android 10 on my MIC AV8V5 PX6 :D

- i installed Android 9 mod 4 with modinstaller pro 2
- i installed original firmware with upgrade disk tool v1.59 (had to press once reset button then it went into bootloader)
- i selected update.zip from in my case PX6-Blau-Android10 (original MIC)
- i updated MCU (from original MIC)
- i put update.zip from Hal9k_Mod_5.0_MTCx_HCTx_PX6_eng on sd card FAT32 64GB
- it took about 5min for the update
- i progressed the 4 OTA updates (everytime with no errors, not like last time)
- now i have version 5.2.0
- at the moment no problems

it was mainly the order of updates
i hope my thread can help others to find a quick solution

TIP:
sometimes i had to put the sd card in my 2nd slot the mapslot on the right side of my radio. especially then when i used the sd card with the upgrade disk tool v1.59 (which i could not read in windows). on my main sd slot the card was not recognized. i think my device searches only in the 2d slot after a reset.
i had to press reset once and it recoverd me from my bootloop and everytime i thought i am completely lost.

    Either uninstall and disable webview updates, or try the latest update from M.I.C.:#59 that fixes webview. I tested it on Isudar px5 GS and everything works. If you don't like the launcher, you can install the launcher from HCT7

    First, try to change to a different bluetooth controller in the factory settings, see message#2,371. In order to find out which Bluetooth module you have, you will have to disassemble the car radio, the marking should be on the BT module. I have a problem-free WQ-BC6.

    How do I install the firmware?
    When switching from any other firmware, you need to wipe user data!

    For stable operation of the device, it is recommended to update the MCU firmware to the current one, released in March 2021 or later.
    If there is no such firmware for your device, use the latest available one.

    MTCE versions can be installed instead of MTCD

    If you have Android 10 installed:
    The installation is similar to a regular firmware update:
    1. Copy the firmware file update.zip to a USB flash drive / memory card formatted in FAT32
    2. Connect the USB flash drive / memory card to the device
    3. Set the "Wipe data ..." checkbox and click the "Install" button in the window that appears.
    4. After installation, the device will automatically reboot one more time to complete the Magisk installation.
    Installing from a SD memory card may take longer!

    If you have Android 9, 8 or 6 installed:
    Requires updating the recovery version to Android10

    When installing WebView and Chrome versions 101.x.x.x, crashes occur in these applications as well as in other applications that use WebView.

    Hi Hal9k,

    Just wanted to say thanks for making this. I know that doing such things is a huge amount of work and even doing "small" things from the user's perspective can be days of effort.

    I have installed the mod using your mod installer, spent the past hour reinstalling everything and setting it up just the way I like it. No drama, no issues. It just worked and now I have a newer version of Android installed which runs a little faster.

    People tend to only comment here if they are having issues. I blame human nature. I just wanted to tip the balance a little in the other direction with this comment.

    To anyone else reading this: just pay for the updates if you like it. It's €10 for some excellent software which clearly has a lot of effort and love spent on it, and is a fantastic deal.
