Returned to this ROM after some time and am happy to see that the call echo bug has been fixed. Also like the fact that it comes very clean without GApps preinstalled.

One request: could you see whether it's possible to add a battery bar to the ROM?

After some time running the ROM, I noticed that I get reboots, probably related to incoming calls. Also, I am sometimes unable to accept a call (can see caller screen, but no action is working) and I have to reboot the device hard (through buttons, not menu). Anyone else experiencing this?

May this be related to the offscreen actions (change to 2g)?

Thanks a lot for your time on development of my favorite ROM for my 6z. I haven't used this ROM yet and hoping someone can answer a few things for me. I m a noob.

1) how is Smart key working on it? Does it have same or more options?

2) it seems my favorite smartbar (for adding buttons on the 3 button navigation bar) is not available. Can you please confirm on its availability?

3) do we have an option for adding date along with time in status bar?

Guidance / suggestions / help is appreciated.

First of all CONGRATULATIONS and THANK YOU @ComicoX for bringing this fabulous ROM to the ASUS Zenfone 6! I've had HAVOC on my OnePlus 3T (until it died last week), and I'm very happy to see it also exists for my new ZF6 (received on Friday). It has been a long time since I logged in to XDA (or since I have done any modding and flashing at all ) and I see a few things have changed since - facing new challenges here (such as the changes of structures within Android and the redefinition of partitions, A/B, boot, etc.).

Now to the point: Having followed the flashing instructions (v3.5 20200507) I ended up (like others) with a bootloop where I can barely see the "Powered by" logo flashing over and over again (just realised this morning in the dark, because the flashing is so dim you can't see it even if it is with a single light on - the screen appears completely black and the phone totally unresponsive). I can't seem to make it boot onto recovery/fastboot by the buttons combinations (at this stage I feel the instructions assume one knows about the A/B partitions - which I didn't, so "mea culpa" - and I must have flashed while being on the wrong partition), so I have researched and found what seems the solution (Qualcomm's QDLoader via port 9008), but my computer (dual boot Linux/Windows 7), doesn't recognize/see the phone at all. Has anyone come across and overcome this issue? Many thanks and sorry if the solution is obvious, but as I said: just back and I'm rusty... :laugh:




UPDATE: You can all continue ignroing my previous message I ended up buying a cheap EDL cable for deep flashing Qualcomm phones, and problem solved. I'm back up and running again :good:

Too early to tell in my case. Just finished installing it yesterday after my ordeal to get the phone back "from the dead".
PS: I recommend flashing this ROM through ADB if you are having issues - all other ways/instructions (through mauronofrio's unofficial TWRP) resulted in "No OS Installed! Are you sure you wish to reboot?".

UPDATE ON BATTERY: So far today (being the first day I use my new ZF6 with HAVOC as my daily driver with regular use) I have to say the battery seems great to me: At 66% at the moment having been unplugged from a full charge earlier today (15h ago), with 2h 51m SOT, and about "1 day and 6h" left (according to the battery statistics - although I think this is unlikely).
PS: My phone is connected to a VPN 24/7 which takes its toll on the battery...

1) No, it doesn't. Not for shortcuts, not as a trigger for the camera once within the app (even if the available option is selected).
2) Don't have it, never use it, so I haven't missed it nor looked for it.
3) Yes (With quite a good array of variables/options).
...and I will also add 4) System sounds play at a very low volume. I added my personal ringtones, and when the file is played through the File Explorer they sound to the full volume/loudness of the phone's capabilities (which is more than decent), but when used as a ringtone or notification sound, they play at half the previous intensity although the selected volume for ringtones and notifications in settings is at its maximum capacity. Any ideas?
Also 5) Fingerprint sensor gestures don't work.
Last but not least 6) Can the "Recents" (view) options from other versions of HAVOC be added to this one, please? So that different types of views can be selected?

Indeed, the lack of 1 (SmartKey functionality) + issues with 4 (sound volumes) is making me rethink if to hang on to HAVOC or jump back to stock and debloat it ...which would be a shame after so long using HAVOC in my other devices (because there is no better ROM out there at present as far as I'm concerned).
Ref. 2: there is no option for adding other buttons/functions to the navigation bar as far as I can tell - only a couple of left/right arrows to move along the text when typing...

Just came across an issue when switching from main (normal) view to wide angle view on the video mode of the camera: sometimes when switching I get the error message: "Camera is being used by another application. Please close that application and try again" and after that, the camera app shuts down. On the occasions where it doesn't happen when entering the wide angle view mode, it takes about 7 seconds for the switch to take place, and then I get that same issue and error message when switching back to main view. It only happens with video mode, the photo mode is fine, and there is no other app using the application for absolute sure. Anyone else experiencing this issue?

Very disappointed to see such lack of flow and interaction in this forum. I would have thought that since there are not that many ROMs for our device, and HAVOC is one of the best out there (based on my experience with it on my former OnePlus 3T), that this board would be thriving!
@op @ComicoX: Is HAVOC for ZenFone 6 abandonware? (Not asking for updates/bug fixes or timelines for it, but I just want to make sure I'm not sticking to a dead project). Thanks
