Hi guys !

I have a question about the compatibility of this ROM for the joyeuse version of this phone.

I was originally aiming to install the UNOFFICIAL LineageOS 18.1 ROM that was supposed to support both the miatol and the joyeuse version, but it look like everybody switched to this Official ROM, so I assumed it was compatible with joyeuse too.

When I follow the official LineageOS instructions for the miatol version, the installation works fine but I end up having error messages about Google Play Services being incorrectly installed or invalid.

Am I right or wrong ? Is this ROM works with the joyeuse version too ?

Can someone confirm that this ROM works both for miatol AND joyeuse ?

Is there any differences in the installation process ?

I've been using the following files :
- lineage-18.1-20220506-recovery-miatoll.img
- lineage-18.1-20220506-nightly-miatoll-signed.zip
- MindTheGapps-11.0.0-arm64-20220217_100228.zip

I'm attaching some of the errors I get when using this ROM on my joyeuse phone.

Thanks !

Ok so I think I fixed most of the problems I was having :

1) For the error while installing Google Chrome, this is due to the fact that the Trichrome Library need to be installed (or updated) first, but is not automatically updated anymore when installing Chrome through Aurora Store, so I downloaded the APK and installed it first, from this link: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/trichrome-library/

See those links for understanding more about it :
- https://gitlab.com/AuroraOSS/AuroraStore/-/issues/346
- https://www.xda-developers.com/google-chrome-no-longer-webview-provider-android-10/

2) And then for the Google Play Store incompatibility problem, I was able to fix the problem by using OpenGAPPs instead of MindTheGAPPs.

I used the nano package for arm64 for Android 11 from https://opengapps.org/

So I guess there might be a problem with the current MindTheGAPPs package, I don't know.

I'll now deal with passing the SafetyNet Check, but at least the Google Play Services are correctly detected.

Anx camera is a PITA to get it working 🤣
yes, sadly. and there are hundreds of builds and especially on lineageos ROMs all I've tested so far are at least half-way broken..

but especially when using the macro lens having the LED stay on is very useful, since it requires lots of light and you are blocking most stray light by putting the big phone so close to the subject.

no sir these are not the right steps:
    1 flash miui
    2 flash los recovery
    3 wipe from recovery
    4 flash rom
    5 flash gapps (optional)
    6 reboot and enjoy
7 i usually flash magisk after first reboot

There is also standalone firmware you can get from here and install via LineageOS recovery.
No need to flash original ROM.

Works very well , very thanks for your job OP :)
Im having some issues , like the phone restarting at random moments .
Also any tip to take full advantage of the camera?

Double tap black space when you open camera and load the config.

Only problem I've found with it so far is that the slow-motion video mode doesn't work, instead freezing the camera preview before I've even tried to start a recording.
Go to gcam settings, stream configs slow-mo and enable 2 custom sessions.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 11.0 (R), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

When I put a call on speaker, the other party does not hear me anymore. I'm sure this worked at one point, don't know when/how it broke. Anyone else with that issue?

    The problematic line is
    Code:
    ro.vendor.audio.sdk.fluencetype=none
and it is fixed with changing it to
    Code:
    ro.vendor.audio.sdk.fluencetype=fluence
