every thing works but the gps in google maps how do i fix this?

I had the gps issue for a while. I figured out you need to have wifi enabled or it won't get a lock. I went on a long trip last weekend and used the navigator the whole way.

Both GPS and Bluetooth work ...

Bluetooth only supports Media profile not Headset, or Handsfree

GPS seems to work fine, if I can't get a lock, I turn on WiFi, this seems to kick start it for some reason, but once it is working , I turn WiFi off and it keeps working fine.

I am wondering whatever happened to the HD7-RC3 version? I really liked that version as it maximized the screen usage. The only issue was that when typing into fields, the text would not display, yet it would be inputing. Also, there were some issues with the browser actualy displaying the linked page. It would show the correct link in the address bar that the page should have gone to, but the browser would remain on the original page (mostly experienced in google searches).

I would like to see an update to that version if possible. The new HD7-2.OR2 has the same large icon format as the original OS and in the apps view only shows two rows of apps. I just don't think it is as intuitive as the RC3 version. Will there be any updates to the RC3 version, or is that a dead end?

gps works perfectly here, ill test in gmaps when i go out later, also can someone try the attached music apk on a stock build (without changed lcd density) - you need to delete the Music.apk in /system/app and copy the attached one in.


also for any of you who have the original streak5 or the new streak7 dock ive just tested on this build and hdmi output works perfectly. as does line out audio on the streak5 dock (ive modified my s5 dock to allow my 7 to connect to it.) currently watching a film off my 7 on my tv

rc3 is about 4 versions out of date now, and did not work correctly on the 7 at all. r2 is far more usable and stable, all the old versions are still available on the site i uploaded em to - i never delete them ; http://mirror2.streakdroid.com/honeycomb

sleep of death was fixed 6-8 versions ago and the streak7 isnt true 4g its only 3.5g (hspa+ is just an improved hspa ) but it does work fine

thats something with your device or something you hav installed, not had it here in months, and it should say h for 3.5g but 3g is also fine - try speedtest and check

Thanks for the fix too. Locked me in within 30 sec. 1 mile from the Big House (less than 1 week till kickoff).

Also loving the split builds. May times I only want it for wifi use at home at this will hopefully save my battery. Will report back.

Wow! Thanks for this. GPS was dog slow to lock and only accurate to about 100' until I did this. Now, it locks in under 30 seconds and is accurate to about 12'. Very impressive. Thanks! Btw, I'm in Michigan, USA.

Nothing happens
Hit and press installed
"application not installed"
Reboot and do the same, install the app from the market, start working again, reboot. Delete the app again, reboot and copy the new file, nothing. Hit the app, install, "application not installed"

Ok guys im having a dumb day ....still trying to to get ADB to work ...tried different drivers and still cant get it dev manager shows MPT and streak7 but will not find drivers or let me choose drivers .....running XP sp3 if that helps

sofar this rom rocks other then battery drainage its great even standby is good barring you dont use the streak for long periods it will last all day even on 4g


anyhoo if anyone has the sp drivers they used to get ADB to work id greatly appreciate it

It's not a new app, it's just a replacement. (don't install it, just delete the old from system/app folder, or overwrite with the new one, and.... voila.... it's works)
Check your apps, and if you find the "music" app (headphone icon, same like the old one's) you're done.

I hope i was understanable, and it'll help you.

or if the music app doesn show, make sure the permissions are set as 755 and then reboot and it should appear
