Hello,

I'm running SliTaz in a VM (VirtualBox) on Win7 x64.
I opened up terminal; had assumed I put the 710 into download mode,
then pass-thru the USB connection to the LInux VM...
but no entry for sdx3 in /dev; nothing in /mnt.

Tried connecting the 710 to Win in 'normal' mode (it's on),
and still no sdx3

1) is my assumption that USB Pass-thru to Linux vi VIrtualBox
is sufficient.. incorrect?

2) if assumption is correct.. what am I missing, re: pass-thru?

3) assuming I get pass-thru to work, what mode should the phone be,
and what do I need to do on Linux?

Tried searching the thread for linux; can;t find specific directions.

... to update AMSS and EMMCBOOT, of course.

I read the other day on WP Central that Whatsapp has been mysteriosly removed from the Market place.
I wonder if that's the reason for the error you are getting ...

Hey, new to wp7 here, but just wondering if Nokia drive and maps can be installed with this ROM?

Does it automatically detect it as a nokia phone (hence making it downloadable) or do we need to do something else?

Yes you could download all the Nokia apps after the update.

The whatsapp thing is because is not on the market place at the moment.
I was wandering if somebody has the XAP file so we could side load it???
I use whatsapp for work and that is the only reason I have not done this update.

Hi,
There's a very very big thread Here on the Windowsphone Uservoice site about the size of the font in the SMS app being too small on the stock 710.

Would it be possible in RainbowMod to allow us to increase the size of the text in these apps?

Restoring official images

Hi!
Yesterday I flashed the rainbow mod on my device, but there were different things that doesn't work as I expected so I decided to restore the original. The NSS couldn't find my device, so I flashed a really old version of the rainbow. After that I could restore the DLOAD but after flashing the official stock rom on my device, I noticed that some of the wallpapers on the phone are from the old version of rainbow mod. What's the reason for that? How to delete them or restore the official ones? (some of them are really rude)
And...I really loved the default wallpaper of the newest version of the rainbow mod, the image of the cloud... Could you pls send me that picture?

Found a tester for lumia 800. Most likely, first build will be based on the Chinese tango, without integration with facebook and twitter (currently there are no other build tango)

Is it me or the 28.07.2012 build still has no Facebook integration? Facebook doesn't appear in the list of applications when you select Share on a photo or post a message or check in using the Me hub.

Look at my screenshots. First one shows Facebook working properly. The others show how it doesn't show in any of the share, post, check-in screens. Do you see Facebook in these screens?

Oh, it didn't because I never added it there. I'm new to WP and used to Android where once you set up your account in the Facebook app, it gets automatically added to the phone accounts. It's showing everywhere now. You've been thanked!
