[ROM] RainbowMod 2.2 for Lumia 800 [Updated 04.08.2013]

Can anybody recommend a registry editor that works with WP 7.8? I cannot delete the registry key containing the activation code.
I tried with Julien Schampan's 1.2.0.0 and couldn't do it (I did enable root access, of course).

Do you have a backup of your device before flashing the custom rom? If yes, you could use DPPImplant to extract the activation code from the backup and enter the code for activating your live account manually...

You can't update apps, installed via xap, from marketplace. I already integrate last avaible version of this app, so you can ignore this update.

Is there a way to "disable" this update? i mean, that the marketplace tile stops showing the "hey, there's an update available"-notification?

Use RootTools. Only this editor working correctly on Nokia.

Thanks, I managed to delete the ActivationCode key in registry, rebooted but still get the "fffffe70 error" when trying to set up my Live account.

The phone is set to English lang and United States region. My Live account is also set to US. Date+Time is on UTC+02.
I don't know if all this matters but do you have any ideas?

just another 2 questions:

I'm too stupid ( )to use the following:

- QuickLaunch menu for quick switching state of WiFi, 3G, Flight mode, Power save, etc.
everything's working propperly, except 3g. is there an option to enable/disable 3g/edge ? or is it just the option to totally disable mobile data?

- Access to file system from phone and via USB
i started WM Device Center on phone and pc, connected via usb, but i don't see any folders...

3g switcher totally enable/disable celluar connection.
About WMDC-you need also run Zune.

I have a new lumia 800. I pretty much want to try this rom.

If any one could briefly tell me what are step by step instructions, it would be very helpful for me to flash this rom. Really sorry for asking the instructions as this is the first time im going to flash a nokia and a windows phone.

I had this and it bugged me too. I think I uninstalled and re-installed from Marketplace and the issue went away

I really like this ROM, the new smart screen is a joy to use.
But i have some little problems with the battery, which loses almost 20% in 8 hours of sleeping, doing nothing at all. In stand-by, the phone stands 1 day while it was 2 or 3 days with the official ROM. Any suggestions ?
[EDIT] : actually it's kinda worse, I have 67% left with 2 hours unplugged... I went just 10 minutes on wifi

If you never flashed a phone before, I recommend you stay out of thist. You risk bricking your phone if you don't do it properly.
You have been warned!

This tutorial is for the Lumia 710 but it also applies to ours with 2 differences:
- if you have Dload it's not possible to downgrade the bootloader, so Step 2 is not applicable
- you cannot remove the battery to exit Qualcomm mode, you have to longpress the power button

Its listed on my start menu as 'Camera Extras', but I don't remember if it was before I uninstalled and re-installed. Note that this was with RainbowMod 1.4, so may be different in 2.0. Maybe you have to run it first (i.e. use Camera Extras before it appears in the start menu)?

Do you have the Clock Hub tile on your start screen? I had major battery-drain issues the first day I used this ROM, and the only change I've really made was getting rid of that tile. Today my battery is at 87% after 9 hours of light use.

Edit: Just realized this is the thread for the 800 as opposed to the 710, which is what I have.

i have that NOKIA DLOAD, too.. i would love to read that it is possible, but so far there is no solution for this problem.. unfortunately..
the only way (i think) which could work, is hardware-unlock using ATF Box.
