There is now a ras gapps package by @BaNkS
Thank you
Since he does great work, I've asked him to put together a bare bones package and he did. Thanks again.
Goal is to have a minimal package, compatible with ART. No GEL, no hangouts, no GoogleDialer, just the old goodness of a minimal packages.
Thanks again @BaNkS

Anyone stateside on T-Mobile having LTE issues?(not ROM related...just asking) I couldn't download the new rasgapps on LTE with 3 bars. Stops at 6-7%. Swap to hspa+ and downloaded perfectly. I've seen other users have the same problem too

I was having problems downloading the ROM it would stop at 67% on WiFi and mobile carrier. Just re down load it. Its probably a server issue

Was discussed here a while back, and on banks gapps thread. As of right now its not possible on this ROM since its based on aosp. The only way to have it is on stock ROM or custom ROM based off of stock.

What do u guys mean by Google dialer?

Sent from my Nexus 5

He's talking about the stock nexus 5 dialer, it brings up caller id from different sources local and yelp I believe. Not sure what's other features it has since I jumped to rastakat as soon as I could. Lol anyway I've personally tried to install it using various methods to no avail, I'm sure someone out there will eventually port it to use on all Roms though if someone needs it.

Edit: also has the flatter looking dialer icon.

I was wondering about this. so I went to Bank's forum and I used his Google Dialer zip. I got the Google Dialer working. However, you will get two phone icons in the app drawer. one from the stock and another one from Banks dialer zip. per Bank's suggestion, don't freeze the rom's phone apk, just hide if it bothers you (this is not the exact quote, but that's how I understood)

I flashed PA Gapps and then flashed Banks Google Dialer zip, and it worked. I think Banks dialer zip just adds the google dialer apk under system/priv.
I didn't try it with Ras' Gapps, so i don't know it would work. but it should i guess. you can try it.

My process of flashing was:
1. Flash Rom
2. Flash Gapps
3. Flash Google Dialer

there are new builds for grouper, mako and manta up on euroskank
there is no hammerhead build and probably there won't be anymore N5 builds from me. I decided to drop this device. I don't have a Nexus5 and I don't feel comfortable building for it. Many reasons why, some are personal some are stupid, but they are all mine. There is already someone who will take over and build for the hammerhead.
have fun guys with your hammerhead, peace!
    20
please guys keep in mind that i don't have this device, but the mako.
it doesn't look i will get one.
i build blind, but the hammerhead is a nexus, so that it is easy to be built.
bear with me, and help me with bugs, if any
enjoy the nexus5 you lucky boys
